If he gets comfortable and figures it out in the AHL, I wonder if they'll call him up sooner rather than later and try him out in I guess what is now the "Bellows role"...the guy who jumps in when a top-six player can't go.

Yep, plus Golyshev probably won't stick around in the AHL forever when he can always cruise back to the KHL. I'm not saying they should just hand him an opportunity, but if he puts up some goals and they value him at all, it might make sense to give him a chance to break out from the "extras" pack.

Not making excuses for Bellows, but I’m wondering if he’s in his own head. Gripping the stick too tight, thinking about where he’s supposed to be on the ice at any given time. Instead of just playing the game and trying to have a little fun.

I only get the opponents call for the Isles games. Which sucks, but last night was funny. Nash was saying “you don’t get an extra poke at the goalie” when that play happened. I was like bullshat, it happens at almost every whistle when the goalie covers the puck. Fvcking Homer calls are too funny. You know he’d be saying it was a goal if it were the Coyotes in that situation.

Of course. Goalie covers it and the whistle doesn’t blow and you get the puck free it’s good where I come from.
