that o-zone time with Sanheim and Risto with a couple of minutes left was just terrible hockey by Risto. 8 season vet, former number 1 pick defenseman and that was the best he could do. It was basically just Sanheim out there trying to organize the attack while also dealing with his partners ineptitude. Yikes.

The Leafs haven't done squat with Matthews. If I was to attempt to place the Leafs team failures on Matthews or any other single player, I would be embarrassing myself. Voracek had his flaws but he was also a really strong player over his Flyers career including being a dominant player on many, many occasions. To place the Flyers team failures on Voracek is absurd.

Crashing back to earth. When we don’t score 5 goals how will we do? We’ll see but tonight we lose. Got to win tight games if you’re going anywhere. Have to find a way in these type of games.

Game could have gone either way. Obviously that shortie killed us. As the game progressed, I wasn't in as much doubt compared to when I watched the panthers play the islanders and the lightning. Flyers held up pretty decent.

Not until the Panthers took off the forecheck did the Flyers make any push. They were outplayed and out battled on the puck. The score was much closer than the game really was. The mistake the Panthers made on the PP leading to the Atkinson shortie made the game closer than it really was.

That's what pretty much everyone else thought also. The Flyers missed the playoffs last year because Voracek didn't score a PP goal.
