They need to learn how to play with the lead, and keep the lead. Last years team would have folded like a broken tent. This years team found a way to win. Baby steps.

Just checked Ek’s thread for a few of his posts. Wow. He’s a real piece of work. He doesn’t post in the Flames threads.

True about the lead being blown. But how many years has it been since they got a lead of 3 goals then gave up 3 unanswered goals and still won the game? If I had to guess it was maybe with Hartley. In fact we got so used to them folding like a cheap suit I wonder how many people gave up watching after the Wings third goal. Sutter will make sure that doesn't happen often.
I think the other real positive takeaways are the compete level. They're making mistakes alright but they're busting their butts like a team that expects to win rather than lose. Example - Coleman. What a compete level. Every single shift. And Mangiapane. Same thing. Lindstrom. Awesome. Johnny gave the puck away but made a perfect pass for the game winner. Seems to me every single player is better than last year. Any slackers will be in Stockton be fore they know what hit them.
Last takeaway is the backup goalie. The way Vladar played in the preseason, I had a hunch he might end up being more than a backup. The fact that Sutter had him play last night makes me suspect we may see a tandem 1A/1B this year. |

Thanks man, felt good to beat Washington.
What is going on with your Pens? The only other thing you need to happen is have your goalie injured so you can sign the Zamboni driver. - DuranDuran
Thanks buddy, was a real memorable game to watch. Will be interesting what GM decides to do when a few guys come back... don't go for zipfel's Eichel, we have a few more affordable&healthy(!) center for ya Flames. Have fun with b2b's Mon/Tue!

NY, NJ, and Pits next. What is everyone's feeling about these 3 games?
I say we go 3-0 on these games |

Rangers are rolling and the Pens have yet to lose in regulation. Those two are going to be tough outs. They should be feeling pretty good about getting the win in DC so hopefully they can take that and play well.
I predict 1-1-1. |

I am just going to say 0-3 to cancel out any possibility of a jinx.
I have been hurt too many times.

4-1 Rangers, 5-3 over the Devils, 6-2 Penguins and Marky leaves game with a groin issue. As always, suck it. |

He says he’s from Hardisty. Which makes total sense. There is a pocket of kkk types in the Hardisty/Provost area. - TurdFergeson
we do have one that occasionally talks hockey but likes to go off on right wing tangents, that eastcoastareaholes or something like that. He went off on Gaudreau hugging his buddy (Buddy) during an interview. Meh, every team has em... |

NY goalie is .971 in last 3 games but they don't score a ton.
First game after 4-0-0 road trip ought to affect NY's focus and energy.
Flames are just getting warmed up.
4-2 Flames today.
NJ IDK
Pens with injuries should be doable.

From reading the other forums, people are saying it's basically coming down to Buffalo wanting either Mangi or Dube, and us wanting to send Valimaki or a prospect their way as the final piece. |

You live in warm weather with sun year around... I need that kind of positivity.
But, you are still correct on being hurt many times. Come on Flames, go 3-0 for Duran Sake in next 3 games |
