Easily my favourite country song
- TheMussel

That album is classic. I love that as great as Ween are as instrumentalists, most of the record is the Nashville session guys playing because their producer said you're not good enough to play on your own record, and they said amazing.

Marner traded or Dubas fired yet?
- Steven_Seagull

Yup - Marner was part of a deal that included Gibson & Manson. Now you guys have a legit starter and a dman that plays d.

(Obviously kidding - but you guys would be better off)

Does low budget mean this ETF person was not hired for this movie?

I don’t know but I don’t see how an Emergency Task Force type can look at the ammo and say go ahead. They’re expensive and if guns are a big part of the movie it’s going to run up a big tab. It just seems like the safest thing you do on a set other than using fake guns

The National just reported that the assistant director handed Baldwin the gun and said it wasn't loaded.

What I don't get is why the gun was pointed at the Cinematographer. At an actor - would still be tragic, but make sense. But at the Cinematographer? Why?

For the purposes of a camera shot showing the character firing the gun facing the camera. The DOP is frequently in the eye line of a shooter.

While this is true, there is no logical reason to point gun even if loaded with blanks at anyone. Moving the gun position an inch or two would be enough to keep the line of fire out of harms way. It is unlikely the camera angle would be detectable by the audience.

There's often a bunch of people behind the camera, and it might be close to the subject. They just need to keep real bullets out of the guns.

Why would any prop gun have a live round?

It’s fascinating that humans have developed the capacity to incorporate information from a variety of sources and then sharing it.

Heard anything interesting thing. In any shot involving a gun, even one where the gun is to be pointed at the camera, everyone is supposed to be cleared from the arc of where the gun tracks. The camera is preset and the camera person isn’t behind the camera.

Sorry bud. The NRA is a lobbying body for the manufacturers. I’m sure they have cute safety courses for members. Movie sets generally have actual experts providing specific advice on what is happening in that scene and the exact safety precautions that are to be taken.

I don't know about you, but I just read a few sources of information on the interwebs and now, I think we can all just assume. I'm an expert on handling prop guns n' stuff.
