He doesn’t play the right way. The last 3 games he’s been really, really bad defensively. He’ll get a goal, or make a nice play, and somehow it justifies every giveaway, flyby, lack of effort along the boards, fanning on the puck (which he does 3 times a game), and making plays that just kill the offence.

That’s one shift.

He started the season more regularly on the PK, but his overall average dwindled down to :51 because he’s hardly being used there anymore. Last night was an anomaly because they were getting their asses kicked.

That’s not one shift for the 4th or 5th PKer

They only get 20-30 seconds per kill tops. He’s on the ice for 2-3 pks a night

They’ll all get it going. Maybe we could find some pages from 2018-19 when Marner had 94 points and was +22 and Willie had 7 goals and 27 points in 54 games and -4

I doubt they match today and Willie would have been shipped for Cody Ceci.
