I think Benning is doing some of his best work since he has been here. Good contracts , good findings like Burroughs . His trades and signings in his first 5 years were laughable but I am hoping that is in the rear view mirror.
I understand why people don't like him but I think he is building a likable team ( finally) - VANTEL
Maybe Green will be extended and we can hope in 3 more years he will learned how to coach. |

They haven’t faced an NHL team yet, unless you count the Oilers. - 1970vintage
Fair enough but they haven't really looked like an NHL team themselves. |

It is going to take a while since Green doesn't prepare his team in pre season |

That’s what I’m saying. A decent team would carve them up. Hopefully they get their poop together from a few days off and some practice. |

Garland and Höglander are the two best players (and Hughes), also the toughest. That’s sad. - 1970vintage
That is not true. Myers Burroughs Horvat Miller have fought . This is not a turn the other cheek team.
I love Gallagher from Mtl and he is one of their teams most aggressive just like Garland.

I was hoping Green was gone this year , fan and media demand and outcry to bring him back was shameful.

You'd think he would have time to prepare them for the games, if you include tomorrows game he'll have had 5 pre-game ceremonies to sit through in their first 7 games, he should have used that extra time in the dressing room to wake these guys up. |

I’m not talking about fighting.
Those two guys go hard every shift, don’t back away from anything, use their body both for positioning and to separate player from puck.
I don’t mind Horvat, but compared to Garland or Höglander he’s a wussy. |

I don't mind who is doing it as long as someone is.
Garland may be the smallest guy on the team but he is such a sh1t disturber he drags the rest of the team into the fight. I think it is great that at least two guys are out there setting examples. More will get on board.

I hope so. If they want to win a cup every guy has to play that way, to a certain degree. |

Van doesn't play Cgy till Jan 29th. Teams should be in mid season form by then. That's enough time for Shaw and Gustafsson to mold the team and get out all the Green's coaching errors. |

Crazy that the NHL chose to wait so long before having them play each other. There'll be no excuses by then? Checks with Marwood? |

covid or injuries or guys lost on waivers will still be there by then. Podz being scratched still.
Gustav Forsling has 4 points in 6 games and plus 6 to start the season with unbeaten Florida. |

Perhaps he's not NHL ready, or ready to step in the top 6.

Pods sucked. So does chiasson, can’t argue that. - CanuckDon
Only difference is, if you play Pod more he will improve. With Chiasson you know what you're getting for the rest of the year. |

Probably never going to know. Playing 7 minutes a night has given us all a clear indication of how well he could handle the NHL game. |

He will improve or ? Can't tell what he is capable of if he doesn't play. Play him or send him to Abby.
A little surprised the only injury we have seen is Hughes

Motte should be back soon. Does Benning risk losing another player on waivers or send Podz to Abby. |

Jacob Truscott playing beside Luke Hughes in Michigan has 1g 5a in 6 games this season. Draft +2 season. Too bad he isn't a right shot. |
