You do realize that this isn't just these 6 games? He's regressed since his rookie season and that's really concerning when you expect the team to make the playoffs and do some damage in them. You can blame injuries and deployment and any other excuse you want but he's supposed to be the franchise player and he's not playing like one.

But he should be completely healed from that injury right? If not, then he shouldn't be playing right now, right? If he were a typical slow starter, it wouldn't be an issue, but usually he's scoring at almost McDavid-like pace to start the season. Don't you think that's a bit concerning considering the team is counting on him to shoulder the burden of being our premiere offensive player?

Can he pick it up? For sure, and he probably will, but the point is that he's not right now and if the team is expecting to get into the playoffs it can't continue.
