Christ could the guy get any more wordy and bland for something so simple?

To me it comes down to 2 things.
1. He's not getting as much space as he used to. 2. Now everybody now knows where he prefers to shoot from.

Once he and the team figures out how to create space for him the shooting chances get better.

Clearly you didn't get it. He's saying even if he continues to play exactly at the level he has been through 6 games, which is far from his best, he is projected to produce points at a much higher rate, essentially he has been unlucky this far.

Later in the article he also went into how the Lotto line as a group has been out of sorts, and there is still every reason to believe they will return to form. While they haven't scored at 5v5 yet, they also haven't given up a single goal.

Fair enough. I just took a bit of solace in the thought that not only is he off his game, but he's had rotten luck as well. He'll figure it out, that's what the best players do. This fanbase should know better than to freak out over him, they had to watch the Sedins slowly work their way up to MVP level.

I think it has more to do with his legs than his hands. He needs to use his speed more to open things up for everyone. To my eyes, I haven't seen the hussle he used to show on both sides of the puck yet.

I think Pod / Dik / Hog would be a tough line to play against. Hopefully get some chemistry between Pod and Hog and that could be a good staple for years.

Funny how the D seems to be coming together quicker than the scoring. Most in the summer thought it would be the opposite. Still very early but I say fvck Hamonic keep Burroughs and extend him while he is very cheap.
