Those other teams have all earned a break from fans, or the benefit of the doubt. They win a round or two, go to conference finals, or the cup itself. You are just stroking Marner at this point with that comment. Edmonton finished like dog poop last season, do you think they let it carry over? No. They are playing like their lives depend on it.

They have done this the last couple years. It gives fans hope then they poop the bed when teams start checking closely and refs put away their whistle in the playoffs. I havent watched a second of the Oilers play...but a quick glance at the stats....they are not killing it..5v5 is pretty average...doesnt strike me as a dominant team..so far

years passed that was us if anyone remembers. scoring a ton, blowing teams out. a powerplay that couldn't be stopped. that never lasted long or ended well for us.
