How was it? - JRR1285
Never read the book and my only knowledge around it was from South Park spoofing it, but i thought it was good. A little hard to follow, but i liked it. |

I’m not saying he needs to perform at a point per game clip like mcdavid and matthews. He’s just yet to do anything that he did in jrs or at the worlds. I was expecting him to have games where he’s the best player out there. He needs to improve his skating and strength. There are games where he’s not noticeable - nyrangers2
The issue with Laf, and the comparison to McDavid, Matthews and Crosby is not his hockey sense, age or dedication, it’s simply the fact that he’s not half the skater those players are. He’ll be a solid forward, but he’ll never reach the 1st overall pick status that was ballyhooed prior to the draft. |

Yea hes very opportunistic where hes in the right spot but cannot create on his own yet. Hopefully if his skating improves he can get there

All, will try and get a new blog up later. Much of my thoughts are the same as yours. Roof leaking in kitchen again, not from one spot but three, so been a crazy morning. |

Don't worry about us. Take care of what's important. |

Nor'easter on east coast. Put a bucket down last night, needed two given where leaks came in. Nice layer of water in kitchen was my good morning wake up call |

Yeah, I'm in it too. The sound of the rain last night was pretty nuts at times. |

If the club is going to anoint Strome as Panarin center for next few years, I think it's incumbent upon management to find a legit right wing Bread would be happy with. Someone with scoring touch who is comfortable playing without the puck. That player does not current exist on the roster. While his age and salary are prohibitive, someone like Phil Kessel comes to mind.
Of course in order to do this Drury will need to package a couple young players for trade. However, in order for the team to take the next step, its all about Panarin and his happiness,, otherwise his contract is going to be a massive burden. |

Brukie, I think your account has been hacked!!! - Tonybere
We’ve become such good friends he’s posting my thoughts
He’s right tho. Two weeks doesn’t make the season.
patience is never ever in the Ranger fans dna. How I look at it is they’re 4-2-1 without remotely playing how the record indicates, which means the dominant wins will come. You can’t win division or make the playoffs in the first month, but you can certainly fall out of the race if you aren’t careful. We are firmly in position to make a run this year. Seeing how they have won the games they have is a very positive sign imo(comebacks, undeserving, etc)
The PP is what the problem rn is offensively. It’s very sluggish every game so far. Either super passive or super unselfish
They’ve played some very tough teams to get through on too. Last night I felt like I was watching Lemaires Devils with the trap.

I posted this before the game but i think it's worth noting again. EVERY team in the Metro is above NHL .500 right now. That obviously won't last but it goes to show that we cannot afford to start dropping games while we continue to "figure it out". It's a long season but it will feel even longer if we fall behind in the standings. Luckily we gave ourselves a head start with some help from Shesty and Lady Luck. I'm almost scared to trade our 2022 1st in pursuit of an upgrade out of fear of it ending up a lottery pick (unless we protect it, which hampers it's trade value)

The best season they had was w/ Jesper. And we killed them for that too lol (having him play there). in hindsight it’s a good to have a similar player there. I think Goodrow is that fit for them because hes like Fast, with maybe a little more offense. Dog on the forecheck and in the corners and that’s what that line needs to get the puck and go to work |

Someone else posted something like this recently (please feel free to take credit here), but what if we upgrade at center instead of wing and move Strome to the right side, keeping him with Panarin? |

Seeing the amount cap space they have it seems likely they get someone as a rental. We’ll probably have to wait til the deadline tho |

Guys they could target as rentals at the deadline (UFAs next season):
Malkin (imagine that lol)
Pavelski
Gaudreau
Hertl (yes please)
Forsberg (def could see him being a NYR)
Kessel
Rackell
Palat
Brown -LA
Radulov
You have to figure at least one of those guys would be available. Not all of them will be in position to make the playoffs.
To me Forsberg is ideal as a rental for them imo
You know Dolan would approve anything like this because he wants to be a playoff team

I wish they could make Patrick Kane work because reuniting him with Panarin would be special.

I think Friday will tell a lot about how different this team is this year. 3 days off to practice and get ready coming off of a bad loss. Should be getting Kakko back to. |

That second year really hinders it. Toews too. Either one would be amazing. Ie- like when we got Messier |

They’ll win 10-0 but it’ll be that one giveaway by Panarin that steals the spotlight |
