Zone time has to be like 12 min to 3 so far.

Looks like most other games, meaning we have them right where we want them. I guess?

I just wish he would stay in front of the net and tip pucks. Dont worry about anything else. He will have like 60 goals

I still don’t think we are good. We got lucky and had good goaltending on that road trip. Most periods we’ve played have been like this.

I agree, extremely lucky to have the record they do. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this team get trapped in their own zone as often as they do. And on the other end, most entries come right back out.

I know hockey systems are all pretty similar, but I can’t tell what kind of team they are trying to be. Is it a coaching issue? Last season they were lethal (minus Zib early in the season). Doesn’t add up.

I heard a lot of rangers players get asked the question “what is gallants coaching style like” and they all said he likes to keep it simple. I don’t think our top 6 works well with strictly “simple”. Our pp is another example of how bad “simple” is working out. There’s nothing to it. Throw the puck to mika in the slot no matter what, everyone knows it’s coming.

Now that I think about it. Did GG have any elite players on his other teams?

Defensively they haven’t been terrible this year. Offense and pp has been non existent. We can make pass out of our zone, through the neutral zone or offensive zone

On paper we should be good. I don’t think we’ve shown anything 6+ games into the season to back it up. 5 minutes in the Ottawa game and a good period here and there but mostly we’ve just been outplayed

Just finished the Q1ST period, man we have to stop giving the puck away and thank God for Igor. It's getting ugly.

That was a heck of a give away.

I would like our bottom 2 lines to get some puck possession in the O Zone. Don't care if they score but need to control the puck down low. If they want to play big then cycle the puck.
