Sort of surprised Fla didn't tell Coach Q to take the night off. I wonder how his players feel about this? You would think some players would tell him to go Fvck himself. - VANTEL
I don't want to sound like a homer but I'd like to believe an organization of integrity is what Pat Quinn started and the following GMs and players have followed.
Say what you want about the shortcomings on the ice but I (as a homer) believe that this organization and its players and captains from smyl to Linden to naslund to Sedin to Bo wouldn't allow something like this to go unchallenged.
At least I hope so. |

I have sort of wrestled in my own head about his involvement in the situation. There are quite a few people in the organization at that time that were above him. He floated his idiotic view on the subject to them and they went with it. Just doesn't excuse what he said or how he acted about it.
Florida would be smart to distance themselves from the situation. IMO.

Only teams that win have skeletons in the closet it seems. |

The speed at which they got rid of Virtanen was impressive. |

Correct and who didn't expect it?
There will be mutations and yearly boosters are going to be required until an anti-viral comes available. I think that will give people a choice about the vaccine. But if you get the illness, you'll be relying on an even newer and less tested new drug.
When it comes to jobs, let's remember that there is no right to a job in Canada. You are allowed to be fired for any reason (provided it does not violate enumerated rights - and this will litigated re: vaccine) with adequate severance. So when we talk about choice, there has always been a choice for an employer to fire someone for basically whatever reason. Those who argue choice for the employee are basically saying the employer shouldn't have a choice. That's a fair enough opinion but that will open up a can of worms in the future because this seems political in opposition rather than scientific. Beware the intended consequences. - RealityChecker
People really need to read the Canada Labour code. Articles 124 and 125 would be a good start. |

I wonder about it too. The comments from Q about "Don't bother me with this , I am trying to win a cup " is bothersome. The blame chain is a long list and probably the NHL will try to sweep most of it under the rug but it is very wrong.
I hope as fans, the penalty is severe because in the end it is rape.

There is an actual program (national vaccine injury compensation program) for people that have adverse symptoms so yes it happens... I personally know 3 people that have had severe reactions from the vaccine and one died. I have yet to know anyone who has died from Covid or anyone who had worse symptoms then a 4 day flu. So to deny that it can is very ignorant. - SMP8719
I simply said i dont know or have heard of that. Ive had two people in my circle die. I guess dorect experience is what we are both gauging our decisions on. I personally think its sepfish of the person who went out and got it and brought it back to their family members who died. They have to live with that. There are variants that are worse, im pretty happy to be more protected from them than someone who isn’t vaccinated. That’s my opinion, im not really trying to hold it above others. But people who female dog about not goong to restaurants need to grow up, there are consequences to actions. |

Reading isn't the hard part, it's the interpretation of it that's the problem. People just make up poop to work in their favour.

Same thing in the states. There was a case a few years ago where a bakery refused to sell/bake a cake for a gay wedding due to personal/religious beliefs. The turned away customer sued and it went all the way to the US Supreme Court. The court said the bakery was within their rights to refuse service to anyone for whatever reason.
That's the decision that is relied on to refuse service to unmasked customers. That doesn't sit well with a lot of those that applauded the original bakery decision.
Like I said earlier, beware unintended consequences. Sometimes they are Alanis Morissette ironic. |

Alleged. Something sexual happened, whether it was or wasn't consented has not been determined.
The blame has to extend further into Blackhawks front office for not only allowing it to happen once but to let Aldrich go on and do it again with a minor. |

Interpretation hardly matters if people start suing for not providing a safe work environment. |

You wouldn't believe how many times I've heard that someone is going to do that over the years. At first when I was new, I heard them out. Talked to the company about it. Now, I've heard it all and pretty much laugh because when I give the answer back to the employee, the stuttering and but but but but start and that's pretty much the end of it. |

Do you work in a unionized environment? There are countless situations where employees have been paid out under those premises. |

The mandate is coercion to force vaccine coverage. I don't agree with that. It isn't the employer making that decision it is the the threats against them if they don't.

Was going to mention yesterday that your boy Burroughs had a rough go of it. He’s been a pleasant surprise so I hope he’s not cooling off. |

Gustav Forsling with assists 5 and 6 tonight.
Double the amount of even strength points as Hughes has so far this year. |

I mean our union fights for all other things safety wise Covid related and now fights mandatory vaccinations.
I doubt their sincerity that they’re truly looking after the general workers best interests as they seem to just want to stick it to the company at every turn. |

He ended up playing almost 20 min because of the Poolboy injury, which is a bit much for him. Keep his shifts in check and I think he’s an effective 3rd pairing guy.
Now, if he is going to be in the top 4 because Schenn is in there could be trouble. |

Fair. I respect that is your opinion. It has been stated that restaurants are not actually a huge place of transmission and that the passport requirement is more so to increase vaccine coverage. Using this against the restaurant community has really put their backs against the wall.

The rumour I have heard is that about 10% of employees have called in to say they are going to quit if mandated to get the vaccine. My company seems to be taking their time coming out with a policy.
I also heard that people won't be fired over being unvaccinated, they will be placed on unpaid leave of absence. No severance and pension lost, if they leave on their own. |

At this point, over 58,000 are dead in Florida where there are no restrictions and a variant os killing people of a much wider age and health population. I dont agree with all of the restrictions and methods, but it seems erring on the side of caution is fairly pragmatic. Again, this is my opinion. |
