What if the investigation is inconclusive? What if Beach’s story, Aldrich’s story, and if there was a 2nd player his story are different or contradictory?
Hindsight is 20/20. But at the very least you would deny any Aldrich/player contact in person/email/text etc until the investigation is concluded. In addition you advise Beach to seek outside counsel. - Ztra
Then you follow step #6 and inform
all parties that there’s an ongoing investigation that at this time it’s inconclusive, but still being investigated. At this time you hire an outside organization to complete investigation, like they just completed eleven years later. |

Dude. You know damn well the hawks organization F&CKED this situation royally.
No one is defending the hawks right now. So why are you?
Kings handled the situations you guys are bringing up. The hawks didn’t. End of story. - KINGS67
Dude:
Where did I defend the Hawk organization? Why you change the subject now that I proved your house is broken too?
The Kings handled the situation because they were forced to. They were handled after they were arrested or sued.

You’re defend it by trying to compare other incidents.
Just stop.
This incident is non comparable. HORRIBLE how the hawks handled this. Because it wasn’t handled. |

Been a Hawk fan about 50 years.....since I was 6 or 7 years old. NEVER, not even during our most dismal stretches, have I been so saddened to be a Hawk fan. Will I stop supporting them??...No....But, I have been VERY disappointed in everything I have seen on this "cover-up" matter. It is despicable how it was handled in 2010-11, It is despicable in the response since last year, with the denials and lies. And it is equally despicable in how many of the players and execs are reacting to it even at this time.
The losing, the stupid game system they play, all on-ice things that are so awful.......they all pale in comparison to the handling of this sexual predator they coddled and hid while a young man suffered.
I will continue to be a Hawk fan, and I hope they gut the organization from top to bottom. I will continue to watch...and to cheer. But, honestly.....I could care less if they won another game this year. It just doesn't seem as important anymore. Clean it up guys. Everyone be truthful. And gut this thing from stem-to-stern!!!

I also have to point out when GPHawksfan called me and another poster, i believe he said we were soul mates, where was your outrage then? Not a peep from you or anyone else. Since you're talking about phonies, just like the Hawks brass its fine unless it's going to affect me some way. Hypocrite - BetweenTheDots
Yet another deflection.
Seems you are unable to do what you demand from others. You can't say "I shouldn't have made that joke" to an internet message board, where nobody knows you and you have nothing to lose. Yet you smugly demand that people in the Hawks front office risk their careers by going over McD's head.

They did sound quite good though.
My question is, how did some end up with those bobbleheads? They weren't handing them out when I got in. - Popsghostly
Not sure. I didn’t really want a ‘day of death’ memento on the darkest day in the team’s history. I just wanted a competitive game to take my mind off the insanity that the org has morphed into, and we got that. Although it was little relief to be reminded that this team still hasn’t won a game or fired its joke coach. |

So you’re here, not to discuss the horrible events that every single Hawk poster have been very critical of, but to use this disgusting event to get a petty dig in at Hawk fans? You may want to adjust your moral radar. |

Then they would have come out and said the investigation is inconclusive or at this time we will not be releasing are findings cause they are inconclusive. |

And the NHL suspended Voynov indefinitely when they learned his assault and battery workout routine was going to wind up in a police charge and court case.
So what did Coach Sutter and the pious Kings do then - they let Voynov come to hockey practice as if this was a puff of smoke that would just blow over soon. So Bettman had to fine them $100K. |

Understand, but in reality if I were to insist that everything I enjoyed or consumed was morally perfect, then I would have almost nothing to enjoy. |

(frank)ing Leafs!
Not sure trying to sit on a one goal lead in the third period against a better team was a good strategy. But overall the team played a good game. |

Here’s my $0.02 on how it should have been handled, unfortunately I have terminated some long term employees in my career. Once the incident is reported, you cannot assume that the predator is guilty.
1. You send the accused home, cannot report to work until notified.
2. You prioritize the investigation, with a target of said investigation to be completed within 72 hours.
3. If accused is found guilty after investigation, accused is asked to report to management.
4. Once accused reports, you inform him of investigation results and inform him of employment termination.
5. Security follows him to collect personal belongings and walks him off premises.
6. NHL, NHLPA, and police are notified of results of investigation.
7. Victim is sent to counseling and management should follow up every couple of days with victim.
If the investigation would have been completed in a timely manner, management would have determined that it was not actually harassment, but assault. - Angotti
Bingo...they failed at #1, and the rest, unfortunately, was then never going to happen

Why are you here? We’re trying to sift through the wreckage of a broken franchise and you’re here to gloat, over this?
Let’s not forget the Kings sitting on Slava Voynov’s act of beating the absolute s*** out of his wife, and didn’t do one thing til he left for Russia. Then looked the other way when Jarrett Stoll got caught with Coke in Vegas, could’ve helped him but couldn’t risk the PR hit.
Then the coup de grace, terminating Mike Richards’s contract after he spiraled out of control and got caught with oxy at the border. Could’ve put him LTIR with concussions but instead figured they could wiggle out of dealing with a guy with too much baggage. Daryl Sutter is no saint, neither was Lombardi for this. The Hawks are a disaster but this is some major pot calling the kettle black. |

Noted. NOTHING is perfect...no sport organization is without sin. But....still....there are degrees. And this one is at the top of the heap. It is horrific. It is blatant. It was a pure "cover-up". And a young man suffered...and other(s) afterward.
No, you are only partial right. I am quite aware all things have flaws and if we didn't cheer because of moral standards then we likely would have nobody to cheer for. But, c'mon man. This one is over the top in poor morality!!!!!

Under the circumstances, it was a much better effort but indicative of a team lacking any real confidence trying to hang on somehow to squeeze out a win. Safety first doesn't work
A Leaf fan who might be thinking his team is a real contender got reminded they aren't even close. Waxed by Carolina and ever so close to losing against a team going bad right now. What was laughable was listening to Keefe's post game presser praising his team's character and determination. |

Borgstrom is listed on the roster. Read between the lines, a trade is coming. - DarthKane
Termination of contract possibly also. Not the hawks but NHL nhlpa and all of hockey teams need to learn from this unfortunate and horrible situation that happen and too never let it happen again. Hawks have a lot of fences to mend but getting rid if those responsible even that means towes and Kane via trade or termination of contracts is step in the right direction. And would not be surprise if this has happen in other NHL teams and more victims have the courage too come forward. But this a problem throughout society not only in sports let's not forget that. Sometimes it's hard to say the right things or do the right things not defending the hawks in any matter but until your in those situations hard to tell what a individual or corporation will do. Obviously hawks did not do the right thing a young men suffered. So hope the victims can have some closure to this incident and try live as best as they can.

I think if I asked my teammates about something that happened 11 years ago we might all remember the details differently. Also some may have been more directly informed or involved than others. This did not happen in a vacuum. - Ztra
What a crock of poop. They all knew. Hell players on other teams had heard about it. To say the top 3 leaders on the team didn’t is a bald faced lie. None of them could even look directly into the camera as they lied. Body language says they were lying.
They’re trying to cover their own asses. |

Thought some who remember when Beach was drafted and his time with the organIzation might find this interesting. Written in 2011 3 yrs after he was drafted.
Chicago Blackhawks: Will Kyle Beach Ever Make It to the NHL? https://syndication.bleac...ke-it-to-the-nhl.amp.html
And that draft yr: https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/draft/nhl2008e.html - Mr Ricochet
Interesting stuff Rico, especially the first link and this excerpt from it which would have been in 2010-11 and after the incident with Aldrich occurred...
A lot of words have been used to describe Beach in his first season in the AHL. The terms "lazy," "stupid," "bad penalties" and "uncommitted" seem to keep popping up.
Beach is reported to have been unfocused, uninterested and prone to taking terrible penalties at the worst of times.
Beach was considered the Blackhawks' top prospect going into last season, but his struggles in Rockford caused him to get passed over as a call-up. Other prospects like Jeremy Morin, Rob Klinkhammer and Ben Smith were some of the IceHogs to receive a call-up before Beach.
More importantly, Beach wasn't called up to the Blackhawks for the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs, which says a lot about what the organization's opinion of Beach is at this point in time.
This has led people to seriously question Beach's potential to reach the NHL level and consequently, caused some speculation about what the Blackhawks will do with him. |
