I don't agree at all. Whatever evil was going on behind the scenes, the Blackhawks won their cups fair and square, they were not deflating footballs, or banging trash can lids or anything else that would warrant questioning the validity of their Cups. - jd250

Didn't see the third period last night cause I couldn't keep the eyelids from snapping shut, but it seems my fears about Jones have been unfounded thus far! |

It is not my place to decide if any are truly sorry. No, the lessons aren’t for them. They are for the rest of the hockey world to act with conscience in the first place. For no one to sweep trash under the rug in the name of winning championships. - NC Flyers Fan
If there are people involved in the hockey world who need to be shown an example of how to act in a situation like that, then what does that say about those people? Those involved aren't sorry, they just got caught.

Road wins are huge in this playoff race. 2-0 on the road is a great start.

I wasn't sure, because when we had played less games than everyone else we were in last and the season was a disaster according to some.
Glad that isn't the case anymore.

Probably a variety of things from young and dumb to scared and spineless. Regardless, the best approach is to deal with issues, not hide them. To see people as human and having more value than things like a championship cup.
You may be right, but again, it isn’t my concern whether they are truly sorry.

While I agree this is a great start, what has been more impressive has been the fact that I was able to stay awake to the completion of both games.

Thanks as always Bill. I don't think anyone could have imaged how well Cam has fit in so far with this team. It's been fun so far. - Flyerz74
I am not surprised by Atkinson at all. Living in Lexington KY, Columbus and Nashville are the two closest spots for me to catch Flyers games/NHL games in general. I've seen a lot of Atkinson over the years. I hated him as a Blue Jacket because he scored a lot of goals against the Flyers in ways that turned close games. He has speed, surprising grit for a small guy, and his MO is shoot first. The Flyers needed more players with that attitude. I'm glad he is with Philly now. |

I didn't know Brown was my boy
Honestly I feel asleep half way through the game so I need to watch the second half today at some point. AV seemed to like his play. But what I did like was Risto's play again last night, he was a beast out there and really solid. |

Love it! Nothing will take them to the bottom of the conference faster. My bet is Rick Tocchet gets the job. He said he was a finalist for the Kraken job and he really wants to get back into coaching again. |

What do you think about the teams that cheated? Should they have had to vacate? - Hextall271
I think if its proven without a doubt that a team cheated and that cheating gave them a significant competitive advantage, then yes their title should be vacated. |

I wonder when is the last time a coach was removed from a team that was undefeated 7 games into a season. I’m sure it’s happened but weird. - Hextall271
Yes, Just speculating but maybe Q felt at the time if he blows the whistle he would be fired so maybe that is why he remained silent or maybe thought he did all he could. However after he left the Blackhawks and before he took the Florida job, he had ample time to blow the whistle on what was going on with the Blackhawks, or he could have just quit once he found out nothing was really being done about it. In the end he had a part in this and now he is paying the price. |

The Flyers are very decisive, something they were not last season. They seem much harder on the puck. Risto had a good game, he can play like that, it will really help the D. The top line was really good, TK was flying, Coots was a beast and G just being G. Braun a pleasant surprise. Biggest thing is they are getting the goaltending. It is early and the real test will be when they hit a slump and how long it takes them to get out of it. |

I think you continue to drastically oversell his play. When he is good he is just okay. He didn't do anything bad last night, nor did he make a big impact. Justin Braun is a better player than he is. |

I thought he made a big impact, especially on the PK. One thing I noticed last night was as he was going into the corner to battle for the puck, the Vancouver forward saw his coming and literally jumped out of the way. That is exactly what I want Risto's impact to be, it just wasn't there with the Flyers last season. Also his did a good job settling the puck and getting it up ice. Finally, as a team the Flyers were much better in o-zone starts, 53.5% and as a result Risto's Corsi was 54% which is a really good sign for him. I really liked what I saw from Risto and its nice to see the metrics back that up. |
