I expected at the very least a great black smudge on the Stanley Cup where Brad Aldrich used to be. A permanent reminder and scar on that organization’s “win.” Everyone who sees it can say—don’t let this happen in hockey.

See, I think that sports has gotten this all wrong. For cheating in the nfl and mlb. Basically if you can make sure you don’t get caught too after the parade, then you’ll pay a fine and lose draft picks and some people might be suspended but keep the championship. Now this is worse, its a fine, people get fired and keep the championships.

That’s the message out there to kids imo. For sure his name needs to be removed from the cup. And maybe the executives and coaches who enabled it too.

I do wish the Flyers would have beat them that year. Yet if the Blackhawks had lost, I am not certain the lessons to be learned from this would stick as well. I know that I will never think of the 2010 “champions” the same again. The curtain has been removed and the ugly reality is not shadows but a grotesque form.

Now all of a sudden have discovered a conscience and are going to reflect on their behavior and look to change and profess to care about Kyle Beach.

I don't agree at all. Whatever evil was going on behind the scenes, the Blackhawks won their cups fair and square, they were not deflating footballs, or banging trash can lids or anything else that would warrant questioning the validity of their Cups.

It is not my place to decide if any are truly sorry. No, the lessons aren’t for them. They are for the rest of the hockey world to act with conscience in the first place. For no one to sweep trash under the rug in the name of winning championships.

Very similar to religions of today,
Screw over and kill people in the name of religion and if you do something bad, confess and all is good,
kinda like those there catholic priests who have been ramming kids since pretty much 1 AD then going to confession. Sick sad world.
