Brassard has played well….it’s never a problem to have too many good players. Hayes will need some time to regain his form…that’s a tough injury to handle. So far the new guys have played well. - landros 2
Yeah. The curious thing is what will be the lines once he does return. |

that was supposedly his whole issue as to why he was an absolute corpse going through the motions for the pens. Definitely admit its sour grapes for me at this point haha
I'll admit i was pretty excited when they got him. Guy was an empty sweater.
He's playing very well for you guys though, and considering the contract its found money at this point and even if he fizzles out its no big harm - stayinthefnnet
Given the money Brassard signed for, I'm not sure he was expecting more than bottom 6 minutes. The start of this season for him must be a pleasant surprise. |

I think Hayes comes in, Brassard slides down, Laughts moves to win, Brown or MacEwen is the other 4th line winger based on matchups, NAK gets sent down where he should be. I think Thompson stays in the lineup because of his PK. |

I liked seeing thompson out there with a min left in the game. Theres a good reason we signed him. Doesnt make the mistakes some younger guys make. People just dont like his ceiling, but if he had a higher ceiling, he would cost more

So then Oscar or jvr to the 4 th line.
Also think NAK would be 13 th. Guessing if they send him down he gets claimed. Brown will def be waived imo. |

The Flyers have been competitive with some good teams. I kind of like the 2-1 win where they had to close off a tight lead.
Refs are calling little things this year. At least the Flyer games since those are the one’s I’ve seen the most. I would like the embellishments called a little more. The PP and PK looks like it will come into play more this season.
Really want Ellis back in the line up. Sellers is doing okay but it is a big difference in hockey abilit/IQ in my opinion. Braun has been holding down those top minutes pretty good so far. Glad he is able to play there in a pinch. |

To be fair, he was pretty young in his career when with the Pens and was a high draft pick. He probably wasn't emotionally ready to accept being slotted down even if trending warranted it. Sometimes it takes players awhile to accept they wont be the same NHL player as the may have been in juniors. Laughton had similar issues but he handled it a little better.
Brassard seemed content with the expectation he could be 3rd line or 4th when he commented on signing here...in fact he went as far as to say he's probably better suited to be a winger at this point in his career. That feels like growth.

Got to be honest here, I'm kind of hoping they are kicking the tires on any potential JVR trade to any high end teams dealing with injures or poor out of the gate play.
Once Hayes and Allison are back, it might be nice to recoup that 1st or 2nd we lost on Risto if possible.

His contract may preclude that. It would be great to get that relief, but contract(s) may have to come the other way |

We seem heavy on wing for sure. Feel jvr would be harder to move in season just due to the cap hit. But always possible I guess. Here’s hoping another team makes a bad decision and gives us gold.
But I don’t see it in season. Could be wrong. |

Oh it's a longshot for sure...but as the saying goes, you cant win the playoffs by the end of November but you can play your way out of them.
I'm more thinking Montreal, Nashville, Ottawa, Vegas type teams that were supposed to compete for playoffs but are struggling due to play or injury bug. |

Good luck Bettman not taking action on Chevy...Said he was not in the "leadership group" of the Blackhawks...As the Assistant GM!!! He was in the room for the meeting and did nothing...SMH. This will get worse for the league by doing nothing. |

Such crap. He was there. He knows what happened. He knows what happened after that meeting. He did nothing. They're all vile humans. As are the players. They all knew and did nothing. Vile.

I doubt this very much. The Brassard line will stay together. At least Brassard and Atkinson will. |

I have no problem with him being pushed back in the line up. |
