You are spinning it the same way again. It wasn't a case of Demko being "your guy", its a case of him going to be that guy, but when? They let Marky go because he wanted term and that would have blocked Demko further down the road. They wanted a potential short term starter. You are omitting the facts. - boonerbuck
I’m really not trying to spin anything. I thought the idea of a 4 mil backup or 1b when you’re cap strapped was bad then. Beyond that, it’s not like it was a surprise he didn’t live up to it. It further confirmed his downslide.
Anyway, it’s funny now b/c the only reason these scores don’t look worse now are solely b/c of demko. To that I hope we can agree. |

I think we just found our new coach ... JTM just pulled the goalie. |

How many losses until Green is fired? Will it happen if we lose all 7 home games? |

A much better game. The level of play was higher, 5v5 they held McDavid and co to nothing (thanks largely to Demmer). I enjoyed even without a win. |

Refs showing once again how crooked they are. There's no debate if shooting a players stick so he cant pick it up is a penalty. They all saw it... they choose not to call though. |

Playoffs!! - Marwood
2 min into Greens post game presser and he's said "we want to win" and "we don't want to lose" around 8 times.
These are not answers to the questions the reporters are asking. He's being quite dodgy to make sure none of it lands on him.
edit: we dont want to lose, it sucks to lose, blah blah blah... through the rest of the presser. |

Green is so damn bad at his job
Going 0-7 on a home stand would look good on Aquilini

Ottawa giving Brady Tkachuk more money and less term than what Carolina gave Svechnikov
Brady has 3 points in 4 games.
Andrei has 11 points in 7 games.
Svechnikov is a beast as well.

Funny cause Svech was called for a high stick on that hit. Not surprising given how awful officiating has been the past 3 Canes games.

Yeah I’m rooting for 0-7 now as well. Time to force the hand. If things looked different and we were losing I’d have a little more patience ... but this is the same garbage. I hoped TG could catch lightning in bottle again like the bubble ... but this team has looked nothing like it since and his decisions are beyond frustrating. Even end of game you keep same guys out there for 4 mins, this is nhlers vs. nhlers and you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage with guys that exhausted.
Finally garland got in at the very end there ... and they scored. I don’t know why you wouldn’t want a guy like him dogging to get the puck back with empty net ... he should be out there every time ... or at least while leading the team in scoring. There are some things TG could do to at least protect himself from some criticism ... and he doesnt even make the easiest better choices. |

The games aren’t exactly getting easier…
Rangers
Preds
Stars
Ducks
All winnable but historically they have trouble with Rangers and Stars. |

Based on their record over the past 7+ seasons, I would guess they might have a winning record against 4or 5 teams |

Yeah, just some teams always seem to have your number, no matter how good/bad they are that year.

Yeah. Travis must go ASAP.
Also I dont like Miller negativity. The bad mojo spreads all over the lotto line. Maybe a trade near the deadline if the team will be out of playoffs. |

Not sure if a 0.389 points percentage is better than last season, or not.
On pace for a 64 point season |

We also need his cronies, Nolan Baumgartner and Jason King gone as well. Especially King, using the same useless special teams that got his predecessor fired, but doing a worse job of it.... |

I mean they kinda are, all of those teams are worse than Edmonton. Rangers are getting pretty fun to watch. |
