Good analysis. How about doing the Dubnyk bidding war next?
- Minnyhock
MAF goes to the Avs. He stinks. They don't want him back. He retires.
Kuemper is insulted that Sakic pinned the problems on him. He refuses to sign an extension and instead signs next summer with Edmonton who we know tried hard to acquire him via trade.
Avs are left with nobody. They call Dubnyk and Sakic starts a bidding war with himself. |

Hey Ek. I’m surprised you aren’t gloating about your prediction of a team in the playoffs being the first to fire their coach this year happening! |

MAF is tanking again He is now seeing what it is like playing on a bad team. In Pitt
the Pens won in spite of him not because of him. You are now seeing a goalie who cannot carry a team like Carey Price does. Price will never win in Montreal either because he is the team. If you switched places in their careers no telling how many Cups the Penguins could have won. Just remember Team Canada never trusted MAF and never will. Too many brain farts for MAF Just look at last years playoffs in a game that Vegas had wrapped up until he screwed up AGAIN. No thanks If the Hawks ask a lot for him they will be able to peddle him away |

Same goes for Carey Price |

Wow I can still remember back a whole 7 or 8 months ago to when the Avs needed MAF because Grubauer wasn't good enough. Now we're comparing Kuemper to Grubauer. Interesting stuff. Grubauer is sporting an .894 at the moment, Kuemper is at least over .900. Kuemps and Grub both lead Fleury in GSAA.
Tampa, the Islanders and Vegas are all out of a playoff spot now also. You think they should try to swing a trade for MAF?

Interesting comments from the Canes social media team the other day was that they had been directed by the front office to create some graphics because there was a big name goalie being acquired, but that never actually materialized.
Strong belief that was Fleury this summer. Guess Chicago wanted him more. - BINGO!
It was David Ayres, but the Marlies needed their ice cleaned that afternoon. |

Minnesota Is NOT a great team, As much as a Wild fan that I am I picked them to finish 7th In the Central. It's just a matter of time until they Implode. I also find It funny and confusing at the same time that so many socalled hockey people over value MAF especially at his age. |

Chicago is BAD! Historically bad! What was it, over 5 or 6 games and at no point did they ever hold a lead! You almost have to try to be that bad. Not to mention the absolute embarrassing way they handled the harassment case. Bowman being gone is just the first step as several of his moves need to be questioned including moving first round picks for a middle of the road defenseman on a team that is 5 years past their rebuilding date. I hope MAF gets moved. He is one of the better goalies of his time. Not sure how much he has left however the way the Hawks have been playing, if they put a goalie board in the nets, they'd still find a way to lose. |

HAHA Edmonton the favorite to win it all?
Give me a break.
It'll take a bit more than MAF to make that a reality |

If you've watched Smith, Koskinen, and MAF this year it is pretty obvious that MAF isn't an upgrade. |

unlike jim rutherford who probably would have traded jake guentzel and kris letang for fleury, ron hextall will not part with a 1st round pick. plus there is the issue of him carrying a $7M cap hit. only 8 teams have $7M in cap space so some serious $ has to come back to the hawks. Edmonton is at $86M due to LTIR. The wild have $62k left in cap space. Colorado is at $82.5M with LTIR. Pgh is at $84M with LTIR. |

If Vegas can add $10m Eichel then all those teams can figure out how to add MAF.

Hextall and Burke are not part of the Sid/Geno/MAF era and don't seem to have any sense of nostalgia. Personally I think MAF could be the perfect mentor for Jarry, but I don't see the Pens giving up any significant pieces to get MAF, but I could see them signing him in the off-season to a cheap one or two year contract to close his career out. - Rinosaur
Jarry needs a mentor to help him elevate his performance in the playoffs. MAF has no experience with that. |

Fleury is a terrible fit for the Oilers. He needs to be on a team with some kind of defensive structure, the Oilers are not one of those teams. If Pittsburgh were to bring him back, Jarry would be going the other way. I would be totally fine with that.
There is a long way to go before the trade deadline, I expect an injury will open up a spot for a team to go in on Fleury. |

How’s MAF going to make any team better? He’s allowing close to 4 goals a game. His SV% is .888. Unless he can turn back time then I do not see how he can help any of those teams. |
