i am just baffled to come in and see that this is what is being talked about

I really enjoyed the game last night. I thought the 3rd period and OT were exciting. PP was awful, they aren't generating much at 5v5, but they also aren't giving up much at 5v5 either.

This was the first game I've seen the Rangers play in a while. They look solid. Shesterkin impressed me. As you know, I'm always down for a good Goaltending duel. Both guys were lights out.

I thought the first 2 periods were the usual Canuck effort, mediocre to bad. It was only the last 10 minutes of the 3rd that was exciting and 95% of that was Demko. They were lucky to walk away with a win.

I am no goalie-ologist but he really looked smooth out there. His movement was so fluid. Really impressed with his side to side play.

yeah Shesterkin was really impressive. Fox was also as good as what I had imagined he would be. Canucks really need to work on their PP's, cause they were atrocious.

Also - this line juggling by Green is past the point of comical. It is ridiculous what he is doing. John and John are actually taking small jabs while commentating now regarding who is being paired with who on what lines.

Loudest it’s been in several years as well. It was maybe 80% full

I sat in a few different spots in the stadium, upper and lower bowls, when I was going to uni in BC. Definitely think I enjoyed front row of the upper bowl, center ice the best

It felt like an zoomed in, enhanced version of what you see on TV.

yeah the first 2 periods were slow/boring/sloppy. Hard to get angry at the fans booing when that is the product they are paying to see.

I thought Shesterkin was the only reason the Rangers got a point, that and the Canucks PP being that bad. If you get 5 or 6 straight PP's, and can't capitalize on one, im not really sure you deserve the points. Demko deserved better.

It really has gotten out of hand.

Agreed on the PP stuff, if Van has a competant PP, they win that game by at least 2 goals, they've been drawing so many calls.

They actually controlled most of the play in the 1st and the 2nd, the goals came a bit against the flow of play. Until the 3rd it looked like they were going to get goalied again.

i agree with this. it wasn't exciting play but i thought they controlled the first 2. i'd approximate it at 60-40.

though i'd add that while the goalie they faced looked good, they didn't generate a lot of quality chances either. i thought they looked slow which could be adjustment to the new systems. is it just me or do they look collectively slower?

They feel slow to me too, aside from the occaisonal burst from Garland, Miller, or Hoglander.

I thought Petey started to look a bit better last night, crisper passing. Still not back to his usual self though.

It was another garbage game. The power play is an all time embarrassment. The Canucks looked either sloppy, lost or disinterested for most of the game. Demko was amazing, especially at the end of the 3rd. They were very fortunate to get 2 points last night.

You didn’t watch the game or you are just incredibly stupid. No, I think both are true
- CanuckDon

This is uncalled for. Darius is just frustrated with management and coaching like all of us. I disagree with his assessment of last night, but he is still my friend.

On the transition for sure. Way slower. I think all the line juggling is having a negative effect on players reading off each other. This means an extra look to make sure on breakouts, breaking into the O zone, and things like coverage. Basically not being able to read off of each other's tendencies is slowing down team speed.

New blog is up. A fun win and a bit on Hamonic. Is this something the team can build from?

Demko had a quiet night. Easy game for him and he was outplayed. Yes their Special teams are the worst in the league

The PP hardly tested Shesterkin if at all. It has to improve greatly or it’s gonna be along season.

Kevin Woody was saying on the second intermission that Sherksey “skates” on his knees as well as most goalies do on their skates.
