The flyers played their best in the third and didn’t really give the coyotes much.
The flyers usually play well in Pittsburgh.
Being that last years time loses this game I’ll take the win.

Love that the Flyers came out and took over the game in the 3rd period and they've been a pretty good 3rd period team this year. Why can't they takeover and dominate a bottom feeder for the entire game?

They didn’t play very well tonight…but they did have some solid d and very strong goaltending. Sanheim struggled early but I thought he had some good shifts down the stretch. Nice to see the third line produce…my god they miss a lot of chances. Nice to see Hart to have some sustained solid play…Flyers chances for a great year really start with him.

I hate Brassard playing on the second line.
The honeymoon is over for that line.
The problem is there aren’t any great options. Maybe try Laughton up on that line for a bit.

I posted this earlier but this is what I would try with the top three lines.

Giroux- Coots - Atkinson
Lindblom - Laughton - TK
JVR - Brassard - Farabee

Hayes is back soon, but ya the line has hit a rough patch. Might have to ride it out a little longer…hopefully they can get it going again.

That 2nd line needs to be broken up. They were hot early but they really haven't been good overall. I think you have your wings a little mixed up. Farabee has been playing the left side.

Hey good news is I thought Ristolainen had his first good game of the season. Albeit against a bottom feeder.

Farabee has played the right side with JVR before and done well. They usually have a left handed center which Brassard is I think.

He has but I'm just saying he has been playing the left side all season.

We would all like to see the flyers come out and play their A game against poor teams and leave no doubt what the outcome will be.

I think he was on the right for 2 or 3 preseason games.

I was talking the regular season. I want to move Lindblom up in the lineup and spread some of the high skill around.

Just to remind you, Flyers 3, Yotes 0. After the first 4-5 minutes of the game, the Flyers were the better team! I wonder how last year's team would have done?

Yeah, I have liked Lindblom and TK together on lines in past years. I didn’t think they would want to separate G and Coots right now.

The Flyers really got out played again for a lot of the game. I don't have tunnel vision like some do. I look at how the team matches up against the top teams in the league. After all they made major trades and capped the team out so a win against a winless team is not impressive. Especially when they had to go into the 3rd period to do it. Play that way against a quality team and it's probably a loss. This is what I know that you don't.

I wouldn't separate Giroux and Couturier. Need some mix of breaking up that 2nd line and spreading the high skill more through the lineup.

He did play better tonight. A little press box action seems to have helped his game.

Can anyone tell me what the icing rule is the NHL these days? I know what is written in the rule book, but its not the way the Linesmen are calling them out there and its really frustrating
