Running a player is a term used to describe targeting a player due to some animosity and with anger. Rather than physical play within the normal scope of the game. - MJL
Like they did with Friedman? F ghost

I would absolutes target him and his side of the ice. As soon as he takes a big hit he is looking for it and gets off his game. |

The game you are referring to is called hockey.
His rules are for Varsity Hopscotch.

AV says that Ryan Ellis is no longer listed as day to day, but is now week to week???? Hopefully this doesn't turn into another surgery?

Does it just have to be week to week since it’s been a week? We can hope |

Yes. People for some reason are completely ignoring AV said Ellis could practice tomorrow and play against Pens and Caps 🙄.
He is week to week because he officially went over a week injured. |

I don't believe that the classification of week to week is based on how long he has been injured. That classification is based on the estimate for his return but I could be wrong.

Not a fan of moving Yandle to the 2nd unit and Provrov to the first. Yandle has been one of the best PP defenseman in the league for a decade. Provorov has never been very good on the PP. Spreads the wealth I guess would be the argument.
-MJL
I would even rather see Yandle on the 1st unit, Risto on the 2nd PP unit, and just give Provey rest. Risto has a really heavy shot. |

Isn’t he the best in the league at getting his shots on net for a d man? |

I don’t know if I’m making this up but I’m pretty sure I’ve heard this in the past that it’s part of the injury policy for the league. They have to update it based on the literal time line, so if injury hits or surpasses The week mark they have to be called week to week. While pro leagues are different, I believe same applies for the MLB in a similar manner with their DL. |

Agreed. I also like JVR netfront on PP1 but he can be effective on second unit.
Is there a clause in Provy's contract that says he MUST play 28 minutes a night? I would think Yandle has to get nod over Provy on PP1. Let's try it out and see. Maybe they saw something and like these lines better. |

yes but I think in today's NHL, the best PPs attack the high slot area with quick shots and powerful one timers. The days of pushing pucks to the point, firing on net, and hoping pucks gets through are over given the size of goalies these days. Yes it can work from time to time, but the most successful PPs don't rely on shots from the point. I like Yandle on the first PP unit because he is good as keeping the puck in, settling it down and moving it quickly to an open player. That is more valuable to me that shots from the point. |

I doubt it in regards to surgery, but its not good news any way you slice it. He is not healing which is not a good thing. My guess is this is the same injury he came out of pre-season with and he tried to play through it for 3 games, and made it much worse. |

The days of the effectiveness of point shots with traffic in front to take away the sight lines and get deflections and rebounds are most definitely not over. It is still a very important element of any PP.
