It was announced when Covid broke in Feb 2019 . We are in 2021. GMs that were told weeks earlier in Feb 2019 that the Cap was going up 3 mil had to put on the brakes which affected spending the rest of 2019 , the next full year 2020 and this year 2021.

Right now you have a half dozen people on here saying his personal life is his and his family as they discuss his personal life with 5 other strangers. It doesn't always work out like that.

I think this also has to do in part with the rise of internet celebrities. People on Youtube, Twitch, Instagram, etc. share so much with fans to the point of people forming parasocial relationships where they think those people are actually their friends. I think we're seeing that trickle into all other forms of celebrity, people want to know every gory detail, without considering the need for privacy.

Well, that and the fact that everything anyone does now is apparently a political statement and everyone needs to know exactly "Which side you're on"

Yeah, I dunno.

I hear what you're saying, but I do think that people (even those in the public eye) can keep details about their medical/mental health private if they choose.

Surely not everything needs to be made public because you play a game professionally.

In saying that, i'm in favour of de-stigmatising mental health and physical health issues and speaking out about them, but i respect if you want to keep it in house.

Personally, I don’t give two (frank)s what his reasons are. If he wants to whine about people being mean to him that’s his prerogative. If he wants to bury the topic all he has to do is talk about his issues, even if he makes up something totally untrue. Give a reason and *most* people would let it go. Continue to give half truths and people will continue to question things. That’s just the nature of the industry.

Acquiring a C who can play in the top 6 is absolutely what VGK needs, but next year might already be too late. They're on the downhill slide now towards mediocrity.

I disagree, they’ve needed a 1C since year 1. Fluery getting traded hurt the dressing room, but wounds heal. I think they got a home run here as long as he wants to play in Vegas, Stone and Eichel is a scary tandem IMO.

What I meant is I think their cup window will be closed. If they get healthy they could go on a run this year, maybe next, but they're going to lose so many pieces with no cap room to replace them, their depth is going to fall out from under their already aging core. Eichel is exactly what they needed, but I suspect it might be too little too late.

Ya, I disagree is all lots of young talent. Trade patches and recoup. They got the 1C, 1D and 1G that you need, maybe the best winger in the game in stone. Theodore might be a 1Db, which never hurts.
