Shocked they got that much for him. A lot of risk in that deal for Vegas. |

Yep they couldn’t be more different goaltenders. To be fair Hasek was unlike any other goaltender style wise. |

After the first two games he and the team have found their rhythm. With this level of goaltending they could gamble on working in a younger defenseman to develop depth on the backline. |

Better beat the wheels off the Habs tonight, this would be an ugly one to lose with a bunch of real tough games coming up |

Looks like they redesigned the rink at UBS, I think the specs are a little off

Concerning UBS Arena water main break:
A source w/ knowledge of the situation told me that a pipe burst on Tuesday. It's all cleaned up, doesn't impact the #Isles schedule or anything like that.
Hopefully this isn't like a Trotz injury update where the whole place is really underwater and they won't play there until February |

Yes, and relieves Lou of the need to play cap games with his LTIR status. Future considerations = bag of pucks |

Does some things for us too.. allows us to be under the cap. Allows for performance bonuses for a bunch of our contracts to hit this year if achieved so it will not count on next year's cap. It also allows us to accrue cap room this year.. which isn't allowed with LTIR.. if we make any trades later in season. |

We also won't have to keep Waiving Leo and Hickey when we need to activate someone like Varly. |

I remember reading somewhere once that a lot of times "future considerations" pretty much means that one GM will take the other one out to dinner the next time they're in town

By trading Boychuk the #Islanders get themselves out of LTIR and find themselves with just over $2,000,000 in cap space which will begin to accrue and be worth as much as $10,000,000 at the trade deadline. |

Perfect. Then we could trade Beauvillier, Bolduc, and two firsts for tarasenko. |
