Just had two hot dogs and two Dos Equis as a pre-game meal, ready to go for tonight’s hockey game. Oh it brings me back to the 80’s |

Yes…reinforcing it. - LeftCoaster
Agree/disagree:. JTM makes the US team and has a decent to good Olympics. That's the best time to trade him. His value would be sky high.
I would do it even if they are bubble/just out of the playoffs. The no-brainer is making a trade if they are clearly out. |

Expires at the end of next season 2023. Great value at 5.25.
So it wouldn't be strictly a rental for the team acquiring. They get 1 year at a very affordable cap hit during the flat cap. That adds to his value. |

I told the guy who asked me to play that my goal is to not puke tonight
So a friend of my wife, her husband was drafted by the Blue Jays or pitched for their minor league MLB team or something like that…anyway, he’s been bugging me to play for his duffer league for awhile and I finally agreed.
Probably going to regret that, but oh well…you get what you pay for |

Of course I would trade him, considering the Canucks are once again going to be a bubble team or worse, imho.
The new GM will clean house and start over with a good young core of EP40, Boeser, Q. Hughes…etc. |

It’s more about what, than who…as in what are the organizations weaknesses and who will address this needs. |

I think Lefty just answered it with "not for who but for what."
My point is that he would be an extremely valuable piece on the open market especially with the positive press (American) from the Olympics. I'm confident someone would overpay.
The discussion is more about whether you would try for the playoffs no matter what or explore what's out there. |

You been drinking?
Also, the team has many needs, including centre and defense, which these 2 play, but they play with heart, which is another team weakness. |

Yes, I just wrote I had two Dos Equis lol…every team has weaknesses, you’re not going to completely fix that by trading one guy but rather, what do successful teams all have in common. Find those common strengths and try to address them. |

McDavid isn’t a big guy, but he’s the best offensive player in the league. You need strength, reach and the ability to skate in today’s game. |

McDavid is 6'1 and 195 lbs, not 6'2 and 165 lbs or 5'10 and 168 lbs.
Also, McDavid doesn't fall over like Bambi, when someone skates near him. |

He wasn’t 195 lbs when he was 18 and scored easily. |
