I disagree with you there, the ice was tilted, that was a great performance by Fla, they just kept coming and coming, once again, if it wasnt for Igor, its a different game, but thats why you have a goalie back there.
I wasnt happy with the bumps Fla was getting in on Shesty, no retaliation the other way, where is this tougher team to play against?? - Brukie
It was in no way perfect, but it was a game I actually enjoyed watching (until the end). The shot difference is eye opening but I don’t recall feeling overly stressed by most of those shots. Florida seems to throw everything at the net which is something NYR can learn from so they aren’t so reliant on the quick strikes or tic-tac-toe. |

They were winning 4-0 (probably should’ve been 5-0) vs the best team in the league, yet this place still nit picks every single (frank)ing thing. Every giveaway. Every coach decision. Surprised the stick boys haven’t been called out yet..Unbelievable
They flew in to NY from Alberta landed at 630 am Sunday. They probably ran out of gas, but still pulled out another win. - Slimtj100
a win's a win for sure.
are we not allowed to be critical of how this team bleeds 5on5 chances game after game after game? they were outshot 35-7 and out attempted 75-23 5on5 last night. im so (frank)ing sick of the past 3/4 years since the letter, and i see the exact same team . i want improvement, idgaf if they got a win they need to play better |

dude, we have a -105 SOG differential. The worst in the league. The next closest is ARI, who has -79. Florida has allowed the 11th most shots against and we put up 18 |

This team hasn’t gotten any credit for anything this year (Shesty only). Its equally as sickening lemme tell ya.
They’ve played 4 home games out of 13 games. Two long road trips. Injuries. Off ice drama. New coach. New systems. New players, etc.
IT ALL TAKES TIME for (frank)s sake
——————
I come here less and less by choice because if I didn’t know any better I’d think we are the Canadiens

What the team is doing isn't sustainable. I agree with the "It all takes time" part. I am waiting until game 20 to really decide what this team's identity is.
And there are positives so far. They have 4 players hovering at or around a PPG. I can't remember the last time that happened. The only issue with that is there is very little secondary scoring.
Some of us are just looking at the on ice product as it currently stands with concern. The Florida game did go well for a large portion. Hopefully it is a sign of continued improvement.
Gallant being pissed is pretty telling since I keep reading about people upset with him for sugar coating their play. He appeared to not do that last night. |

Idk …BUT I’ll predict this is the future….
Zib will have a 30 second shift where he gave the puck away in a game in December and y’all will still be talking about it in February haha

i guarantee it had at least something to do with how pissed igor was. You want to keep Igor happy at all costs. Showing you give a (frank) is a ... place to start

Honestly, the only thing that concerns me right now, is Laf and Kakko. That’s it. Nothing else. We are only in the first month of the season.
Blues won the cup because they were the best team from January on out. They were a bottom feeder up until that point

TJ, it's not nitpicking, it's the same mistakes showing up, which is why Gallant was pissed. The four goals were great but Shesterkin played a bigger role than he likely should have needed to be to get the win. That is what Gallant said post-game as well.
I liked most of their game last night...until the dreaded final stanza. |

I think we all are happy they are 7-3-3, doesn't mean we ignore the deficiencies that exist. But yes, a heck of a lot better to be 7-3-3 than 3-7-3. |

For reference, the Blues scored 4+ goals 8 out of their first 13 games that year. We have 3. The difference is our goalie. |

You're not wrong on a lot of your points, TJ. And, I think I get as sick of the negativity as anyone around here. But, as nice as the wins are, they simply aren't sustainable like this. Shot attempts aren't the be all and end all, but you just can't have a 3 to 1 ratio.
All I want to see from them is good, cohesive, competitive play that is sustained over long stretches of games. Once we can do that, the +/- columns will be sorted out.
Lots of practice time this week!! Hopefully, Fil the thrill is back on the ice for most of it. |

I meant nit picking all season, not just last night
As a player I can’t imagine how it feels on the body after a cross country flight and getting into bed at 630 am then have to play 36 hours later. I’m sure they were a little shot by the 3rd period. They were up 4-0, human nature is to ease up a little
I know I enjoyed the two pts 🤷🏻♂️
