Just checked recent pictures, they don’t do it anymore. |

Well, the Rangers aren't being influenced by luck according to this (not so sure about that )
But they are also sporting a very low shooting percentage and are getting severely outshot. If they can normalize their shooting percentage and stop getting outshot consistently they could be in business. - JRR1285
Think if the lines settle in and everyone starts playing to their potential, especially some of the vets, they are good to go. |

I was the conductor of the Fast hype train and even I agree Goodrow is a better player.
Quickie has a slight edge on the forecheck, but that’s about it. I like Goodrow’s all around game more. - Bean_Dip
Ahem.
I still have coal on my hands from keeping that train going!!!
Quickie's edge lies in hockey IQ. If he had 10% more talent, he'd be making over $5M per year. |

Kind of. I still give them leeway for awhile. They got a bunch of new players and coaches. |

Yes but not in years. The arena is way too big for an AHL crowd so it feels oddly empty in there. At one point they hung a black curtain around the upper deck to make it feel more intimate but not sure if it’s still there. Jealous the Islanders got Bridgeport. Short beer lines though!
If you go would be curious to hear about your experience. Seems like a good season to catch a game. - TC88
The curtain is still there, I was there 2 weeks ago for the US/Canada womens game. |

I feel like the possession thing HAS to come around. Once that happens the shots will naturally go up for and come down against.
The 5v5 shooting percentage is pretty bad too. |

Yeah but he has the talent where he should be the one loading the coal. |

Do they track that? How much time you are in your own zone and your opponents? I have a feeling its not as bad as it seems. I'm probably wrong though - mdw7413
They don't track exactly that, but they do track high-danger goals for/against.

Well essentially, yeah. The talent level on the team is high enough that if they can fix the systemic issues (or have a system) it should all work out. It's not like they would need to play a flawless system as if they are devoid of star power. |

Has anyone gone to the XL center for a Wolfpack game? Thinking of taking my wife and daughter. - JRR1285
Would highly recommend January 2nd game ---- Postgame Skate:
Bring your own skates, check them in at the door and they hold them for you.
After game is over, retrieve your skates and go into locker room. They set up a table of hot chocolate and cookies for kids. Players used to interact with fans ( not sure how they will do it with COVID ). Go out and skate with your kids and select players. VERY FUN!
Compared to Rangers prices, the tickets are super cheap too! |

They played the most games (tied for that anyway) in the league though
OK I'm done, back to the shadows |

This is why i think GG is a big part of the problem. Is his style meant for an overachieving, scrappy team with not much in the way of elite playmakers? I still have no idea what the team's identity is SUPPOSED to be with him at the helm but maybe that's where he's been successful (beginning of his FLA and VGK tenures)? All i know is i watch and for long stretches i see almost nothing generated from our offense. Even in our "rebuild" phase our offense was our strength. |

Yeah, this is where I'm at a loss.
I just want to reiterate. We were absolutely blasting DQ last year when it looked like the system was mind reading. They turned it around. This team is not in a hole to start the season so I have a lot more confidence in them figuring it out and staying in the playoff picture. |
