Beyond the first 5 their isn't much to that draft.
Not sure how he "butchered" it - DirtyDan
You are right. Suzuki, necas, Thomas, Robertson, all guys picked right after where we picked, all not much … |

Here's the thing: he absolutely should have final say with respect to his body, however, that's not the world he lives in. Both sides did what they felt they had to do. I find it hard to blame management for not wanting their franchise player to be a glorified guinea pig.
As rough as the UFC is, they don't crash into each other with a 45 mph closing speed.
I'm sure it will be fine, but would I be willing to risk it? Probably not. If it was, say, Mittelstadt? Sure, but not my franchise player.
It's a poop sandwich and someone has to take a bite. - Wetbandit1
Well Vegas management took the entire poop sandwich and is allowing Jack to get his desired surgery, is Adams and his management plus medical team better than Vegas, me thinks no.
So the narrative that it was a medical disagreement was a distraction to avoid the world knowing Terry pouted and held Jack back as long as possible to spite him. |

All drafted to good teams.
If only we could develop some players.

A) No, Vegas is ok taking that risk.
B)That makes no (frank)ing sense whatsoever, "let's pay this guy $80M plus his ELC, but let's sabotage him." The Pegulas are bad owners, no doubt, but why would they sabotage the only reason many fans tune in or come to games? |

If Eichel gets the surgery and he is 80% of what he was. The Sabres lose
If Eichel gets the surgery and can’t play ago. The Sabres lose
The Sabres played it smart. Eichel keeps all his value and we made a trade
The Vegas gm honestly has no clue when Eichel will be back. He even admitted that

How would you handle a 50 million dollar situation regarding your body at 24/25 years old?
The billionaire did everything he could to sabotage a young man who put everything he had into a sport because Jack wanted out.
Jack was immature, the owner of a sports franchise was unprofessional. - washedup20

Anderson hasn't played the same level of competition. And got smoked by Ullmark against the bruins.
Sabres schedule has almost been as mickey mouse as the Bills - DirtyDan
Point taken. But the Bruins are a far superior team |

It seems like they did because they dragged it out to the point where everyone was so desperate for a trade that it was a feeling of relief when it happened.
He’s gonna be absolutely fine.
He wouldn’t be going this hard to get this surgery if there was a large chance it would ruin him |

Well, the risk is mostly unknown. The best comparison would be between a fusion, the ADR, and no surgery.
The risks of both the fusion and no surgery are known, and the ADR seems like it may have a better long-term prognosis, but how much are you willing to bet on it?
Vegas likes the bet; specially for the pile of poop, in comparison to what they may be getting, they gave up.
Vegas is incurring all the risk for a low cost. Especially when you also consider them not making the move and getting bounced again because they have little talent down the middle, then people start losing their jobs.
I don't know how long the deal was on the table, but it's an absolute no-brainer for Vegas.

Key part of #NHLDucks statement on GM Bob Murray placed on administrative leave:
This investigation has been underway and this move to separate Murray from the team now is based on "recommendation from their initial findings." |

A) wouldn’t being ok with taking the risk on his desired surgery be taking the poop sandwich?
B) Ego had a big part in this situation as stated by Friedman, Adams played mediator, I’m mostly likely exaggerating but billionaires have acted worse.
I agree part of it was insurance but that’s only the case because Eichel and Terry had an 8 month Richard measuring contest, he was moved a day before he was scheduled to go on a PR blast to get his side out. |

Based on the team's statement it certainly sounds like there is some merit due to what they've found so far in their investigation.
