let me rephrase.
What advantage does a trade for Kane provide for a rebuilding team, when the trade will almost assuredly center around a top prospect and a 1st.
NMC, makes 6.9 in celery, UFA after next season. Does Chicago want to get rid of him? Do the Sabres want to pay a premium for a guy they have a good chance of losing before the team is any good? poop doesn't line up to me. - TheSabresTaco
ID be down(not neceesiarily for Kane), TBH, Everyone says we now have a deep prospect line now, so if you are giving up one prospect and the Florida or Vegas first, then fine. |

I like how you spelled sveden. Helps your arguement.
What are you paying him? Years / $
The continuity with asplund (, if real) is a very nice intangible. - Boss34

Probably 4x4.9. |

Chicago would laugh at that offer
Why would they want anything less than what we wanted for Eichel ?
But like i said….
Kane isn’t waiving to come to Buffalo,
so it doesn’t matter - jdfitz77
Oh i agree they would laugh but that would be the offer.
Kane isnt 24
I wouldnt say he wouldnt waive to come here he would just push for elsewhere who would give the capital to acquire him. |

yeah no on this part.... i pray the PEgs dont allow this. - hubie
Really?
Sam's florida 1st and (cozens, krebs or dahlin)
That's probably what they are looking for. I'd rather target kirby dach... probably not available though.
1st and cozens for pk88.
Yesterday..... |

I buy that. What's the ask? A late 1st? A prime prospect? Both? That's tough. - TheSabresTaco
My stab at it:
Olofsson, Panthers 1st and one of Johnson/Samuelsson

Kane = higher attendance and more profit, Kim can spew any speaking points she wants, it comes down to, what will make them money. - ImThatGuy
But he’s only signed for 1 year after this, and at 10.5mil
That’s a lot of tix to sell
And if we’d wanna keep him here,
he’s cost even more to re-sign
It’s a terrible idea |

I'm not advocating for Kane, but one needs to realize that he's going to be a 34 year old UFA that they might want to get rid of sooner rather than later if they flounder this year.
Their summer says to me that they are making their last push with Kane and Toews.

I know his sister
She doesn’t think he’d come back here unless we were a good team that could compete
No reason for him to agree to be traded to a worse situation than he’s already in
Doesn’t make sense |

Pegula is on the Patrick Kane train yet again, hard to say what will happen but that's what I got this morning. - SABRES 89
I mean he'd be a great grab if your not giving up a ton. From a business stand point hes a huge draw.

But they both have NTCs
Hard to imagine they’d waive to go anywhere but a playoff team |

We should get Eichel back and trade him for Zegras, Drysdale, Mctavish and their 2022 #1st. Then we will have the goods to trade for Kane. |

But what's the point. What if he walks to UFA. Now you're down a good young player and you got absolutely nothing out of Kane except for a few non playoff goals.

Seems low.
Gonna pay him less than your former friend? 3 years at 19.5 million
So olofsson for an extra year at $100,000 more?
Definitely still pretending the guy picked #2 is better then the guy picked 181 🤔 |

He's all high on the Tuch breath. What advantage could Kane possibly offer this team at this time? A general question for the board. - TheSabresTaco

Believable, but for Buffalo, maybe he does it. Again, just looking at that specific factor, not every other variable, which makes it a terrible idea to me.

Its why i said not necessiarily for Kane,
but im all for giving up a first and a prospect for a now player.
Matthew Tkachuk from Calgary for example. |

I think that number has the potential to change by the end of the season. I think Reinhart's utility is stronger than VO's. A mid term deal at top 6 celery (4-6) is appropriate to me.

If those (frank)ing dolts push a trade that damages the rebuild for a few extra (frank)ing tickets I will personally go to their yacht and poop in the captain's chair.

Really seams like a last push , by signing the flower.
I think this team continues to wash its hands clean from the kyle beach travesty.
Sweep them out and under someone else's rug...... |
