Good post
Pk88 could be a big splash ufa for the Sabres in 2 years?
Seems very pegula.
Sign kane until he's 45 years old 😐 - Boss34
As a UFA? (frank), yeah, go throw some money at him for a few years.

I buy that. What's the ask? A late 1st? A prime prospect? Both? That's tough. - TheSabresTaco
What if the first is a lottery protected first? Maybe they won't get it until 2030. |

Its why i said not necessiarily for Kane,
but im all for giving up a first and a prospect for a now player.
Matthew Tkachuk from Calgary for example. - ImThatGuy
I mean yeah. Conceptually I have no problem trading literally anyone in this organization. If it makes sense. And that makes sense.

I think that number has the potential to change by the end of the season. I think Reinhart's utility is stronger than VO's. A mid term deal at top 6 celery (4-6) is appropriate to me. - TheSabresTaco
That's fair.
I feel like a long term deal is the way to go.
Or
If ka isnt sold on goaloffson, then you move him for a pick or 2 at the tdl.
The swedish factor means more to the Sabres, slightly anyways. Asplund breaking thru, dahlin needing a friend. |

We don't know how he feels about being here, but if he wants to stick with it, I like the sounds of a 4 year offer. If he continues his play for the entire season, he absolutely deserves a contract with healthy term. 4, 5 years. If he doesn't want to be a part of it, I think you can get a nice prospect for him.

In all seriousness, I could be talked into a trade involving Florida's first depending on what else goes with it.

The Pegulas absolutely deserve about 99% of the criticism thrown at them for the state of this hockey team. However, I can't in good conscience blame them for wanting to make a move to improve the business side of things. Things are "John Rigas bankruptcy era" bad right now.
It doesn't mean I think they should sell the farm for a Patrick Kane caliber of player, but they have to bring someone in to get the fans excited, and prospects like Peyton Krebs aren't going to move that needle, not yet anyway.

Oh sure. I think the problem is the 'what else'. It's hard to fathom it's not a guy of Quinn caliber. If Kane is 28 and the Sabres are on the precipice of the playoffs, ok fine. Just seems like giving up any top end asset has no purpose.
Ya know, other than gas for the yacht.

If you build a team the right way you can make all that money back. If you sell the future for a couple more tickets this year and next where the frank are you getting the money after that when the team is still garbage.
Build a constant playoff caliber team.

Guys, Kane isn't coming here. He does not like Buffalo and just bought a huuuuuge place in Chicago. He's retiring there, bet on it. |

Shoulda thought about that while you were bungling ten years worth of bad hires and alienating your best players.

Leave it to Terry to get his stupid (frank)ing face involved in bad personnel decisions. Adams has a nice opportunity to tell him to (frank) right off.

They are still 2-3 years away if they continue to do that the way they are, and that's if everything goes according to plan and all these prospects pan out.
Fans are giving up and moving on from the Sabres. Its going to be very hard to get people back, this ain't football.
They are averaging 6K fans per game and that was before they started losing.
Something is going to have to give. |
