As it has been said by several people, their schedule was very easy to start this season.
They just do not have the talent to win a lot of games. Take out Mitts and Olofsson and you're even less talented. Lose your 40 year old starting goaltender that is playing very well and it is even worse.
I will say this team didn't roll over and quit even after giving up that late power play goal. Had Skinner stuffed that in its 5-4 with 45 seconds left.
They showed heart. Can't complain really. - Stripes77
Last night was more crap luck than anything with those goals off of deflections. Puck bounced the Caps way all night, it happens

We knew exactly what this team was going to be. Winning some games should be the exception. This is gonna take a while. As long as they're showing the fight and continue to develop individually, it'll be a success.

They have the better part of a week to get those two back in the fold and they're going to need it. I'm not super excited to see McDavid undoubtedly undress multiple defensemen Friday night. That game has the potential to get ugly fast

Correct, it’s still early and history dictates Adams will move slower than slow to address any issues.
Like 89 said and many others, regardless of the win column why are they not trying to shelter, improve the lives of Cozens and Dahlin?
The organization has and will continue to waste the careers of Skinner and Miller.
They filled the void with less than desirable players, while Gerbe informs us their thought process is:
“What can we do, we’re already in this position?”
Not concerned with winning, concerned the main issue (talent walking out the door every chance they get) continues. From what I have seen/read/heard, the only plan is to draft young and hopefully high and try to make the playoffs 24/25. There is too much in the dark now to see that far ahead with this management team and believe it will work.
Hard to develop and teach when you are always rebuilding, losing takes its toll and does not help these players grow. It's gotta stop, Cozens and Dahlin are lost and when Okposo and Girgensons are your " Go to guys", we are in big trouble, they both suck. We should grab a NHL goalie that can at least try and keep us in games, our defense is horrible and the talent is worse. - SABRES 89
This is 100% truth.
Until ownership/management/coaching read this and look at the on ice product and then look themselves in the mirror maybe there will be wholesale changes.
Oh wait, been saying that for over 11 years now...

Bishop is back in Dallas, would you go after anton khudobin or Holtby?

They're stuck between a rock and a hard place. There's no elite talent in the system to bail them out. So the plan is to suck again. And again.

IF they want to maybe be competitive yes, if not no
Id like it and it would have helped us cap wise as well - hubie
I hardly think one of those goalies makes them 'competitive'. I think what it does is instills additional confidence game to game, helps them play better. A great save can build energy. Having two competent goalies would help this particular team a lot. Maybe even get you a few extra wins.

Either of those goalie is a 10x better upgrade than tokarski.... i dont think it changes the game but it sure would give the tam more confidence. Either of those 2 would give you 5-10 more wins than Tokarski would
