Is Chicago about to burn it down - Buff36
They’ve gotta be considering it
Toews & Kane aren’t getting any younger
And obviously the team is struggling so far this year
Better to trade them sooner than later,
so they can get a good return of pieces to help a rebuild that’s surely coming |

Granato said he doesn't expected Olofsson to play Friday. It's a longer injury after they got imagining when they got back from Seattle. It's inflammation that has to go down. Anderson is still day-to-day. The inclination is Tokarski Friday and evaluate if they'll use Dell on Sat |

What is wrong with Strome this year?
He is struggling.
The only guy on their team that would fit in age wise with what is going on in Buffalo besides Strome is DeBrincat and he is certainly not someone they would move. |

I can't believe the insanity I'm reading in here this morning.
Trading away 3 pieces for 1 is partly why we're in rebuild number, I don't even know what number rebuild we're in.
If Terry wants Kane, if I'm Adams, I'd tell him Chicago wanted too much and move on. - Powerslave
If a guy like Matt Tkachuk is truly available and an extension is worked out then yea Im offering Florida/Vegas 1st, A prospect (Not named Quin or Peterka) and a 2nd.
The Sabres have 8 first and 2nd round picks coming up in the next 2 years. |

More is needed from Taylor Hall
https://www.hockeybuzz.co...om-Taylor-Hall/257/114492
"Hall’s benching in Tuesday’s 3-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators was a cold reminder that even when things aren’t going your way from an offensive standpoint, there’s plenty of other things to do on the ice to help your team win.
Cassidy wasn’t seeing much of that.
“Turnovers at the blue line when you have the lead in the third. We’re all trying to buy into, ‘Play behind their D unless you have a free pass to get through there.’” Cassidy said of Hall’s game. “It’s just winning hockey. You want to play late in games, you’ve got to play winning hockey. It doesn’t matter who you are on the team. He got away from that.”
Following Hall’s lackadaisical offensive zone hooking penalty at 11:42 of third period, Hall saw just two more shifts as the Bruins were balancing adding a much-needed insurance goal with holding onto their one-goal lead.
There was a 28-second shift following Hall’s escape from the penalty box and a 10-second sprint later in the period that ended his evening."

Idk?
I haven’t watched any Blackhawks games yet this season
I was never really a big fan of Strome though
He did have that 1 season where he had 51pts in 58games
But besides that, he hasn’t done all that much when it comes to scoring
I’ve never really been impressed
As for who we might want from them that would make sense for us….
Not much imo
If they’re about to jump into rebuild mode like us,
then I’d assume they’d wanna keep their younger talent like you’ve mentioned
I’d take McCabe back, but i know some here disagree with me on that. And he’s a Lefty, which is the side we are in good shape on. (Dahlin, Powers, Samuelsson, Bryson)
DeHaan is also a lefty, but I’m pretty sure he plays both sides- or at least has in the past- 30yrs old
Connor Murphy is a right handed defenseman who’s 28
Nothing to really get all that excited about
When u look at next year’s potential roster,
it looks like we’ll have 2 holes at RD that we need to fill
(*besides Jokiharju)
And of course, we’ll still have to figure out goaltending
Hopefully UPL comes around & can be ready for a role with us- but as of now, I’m not counting on it |

If they wanna dump him for cheap, then cool
We could send down Cozens & slot him in at Center
But i wouldn’t expect much of he’s playing between Hinostroza & Caggiula
Strome is playing with not great talent on his line right now…. that might be why he’s only got 1 assist this season
Strome isn’t a sniper type, he’s more the set up guy
Maybe we could try Skinner or Olofsson with him?
I don’t really want him taking up a spot next year if he’s just “alright” though
Cozens & Mittelstadt should be in the top9
Does Tage move back to the wing?
What if we get lucky & get Wright in the lottery?
If they wanna give him up cheap- like for a 3rd-
then I’d roll the dice
But that’s about the only way
Hard to see him here moving forward |

Could always overpay some mid-tier UFAs on 1year deals & then trade them at the deadline holding half their remaining salaries - jdfitz77

nice piece on adams and his post-jack, decompression thoughts:
https://theathletic.com/2...ehind-moving-jack-eichel/
“For me, there was never a pressure point that we needed to do it by a certain time,” [Adams] said. “And I’ve said that all along. I never felt like, ‘Here we are at the draft, this is the time to make this deal.’ We were going to make the deal when it was the right deal for the franchise."
“I told Jack this from the very beginning, this was never personal, and it could never be personal. When you bring personal and emotional feelings into a situation like this, you can make mistakes. That’s why it was really important to separate that. As hard as that can be at times, that was critical in my mind through this.’’ |

Obviously a bummer,
but i do like the young talent we are assembling
Hopefully this rebuild works out better than the last one
At least the Bills are pretty good- i think?

no Murray, traded two seconds for fourth line/AHL replacement players.
Murray traded for players who were not very good, and gave up a lot to do so.
There is a difference between mortgaging everything and adding a young member to the core. |

He had no skin in the game he was just a mediator between 2 problems. He did ok, this is a lot of fluff to say he assumed and handled the problem |
