Was all on board for Holtby before the season.... send him 4-5 mill per and tell him the crease is his for a couple years.

I hardly think one of those goalies makes them 'competitive'. I think what it does is instills additional confidence game to game, helps them play better. A great save can build energy. Having two competent goalies would help this particular team a lot. Maybe even get you a few extra wins.

When Mitts, Joker and Tuch come back, what 3 players are gone? Wolanen yeah. But two forwards. Cozens and Drake? I'd say Hayden but I think they really like him as an extra.

They're going to have to move him (Bishop) to get under the cap. I would think they send him somewhere he wants to go

They're stuck between a rock and a hard place. There's no elite talent in the system to bail them out. So the plan is to suck again. And again.

I for one am not blaming goaltending. It's actually been pretty decent overall. League average, really. However, like mentioned above, having a stronger goalie can instill in-game confidence that a group like this could really use.

Think R2 goes? Him and Cozens are the only waiver exempts. If he continues to struggle (he didn't, really, last night) then maybe he goes down a la Mitts. He's still getting pushed around, and that will just take time. But with Mitts he doesn't *have* to be here.

That's why I wanted Korczak. And they do need to find a decent 3yr stop gap at goalie. But are goaltending has given us a chance on most nights.
