Well they drafted Price when they had Theodore in his prime. Don't think it's safe to have just one decent prospect at any position in the system

perso players devlopment is on the player at 80%. sure coaches and the organization play a role, but a limited one imo. either players have the talent and the tools (work ethic) to succeed, either they don't. sure you don't bring a kid in Mtl if he is not ready, but beside that... players own a big part of the end result imo.

at this point...with the two drafts coming up expected to have really good talent in the top 10, might as well accept the fact they will be drafting early and maximize the quality of those picks. Move whatever you can and get picks/prospects and bad contracts with a year or two left to balance the cap $ for both teams. Keep the kids, move the older guys. Gallagher, Tof, Hof, Savard, Price, Allen, Petry...
