I don't get why they put Caufield on the bumper on the powerplay.

I think "bumper" refers to the guy in the middle during a PP

logic would dictate you'd want to use Caufield as the shooter, but I guess they want to make things interesting in Laval lol

Quick shot, in close, makes sense.... only I am not sure he is big enough to dominate that space physically to make room to make the shot, let alone, take one hell of a beating.

After seeing diagram I was thinking the same.

Except 5 would take the beating on the pp, me thinks..

For the most part, I agree, but he is the donut hold in the donut, surrounded by 4 guys. He will take abuse, but if he can find a way to get free for the shot, maybe it works.

Worth a trial in Laval, see what he can do, better to experiment there.

yup, a laser from Brett Kulak.

they're saying it isn't a concussion while remaining very secretive about it, god this team annoys me sometimes.

uh, have you seen the habs? "meh" would actually be a significant improvement for them.

What’s the bumper stinger, is that a French term?
- pete26

bumper is the high slot. It's where they put Dvorak for the set play in front of the net on the Habs' powerplay.

You don't put the 5'7'' guy with a great wrister there. It's not rocket science.

I don't understand how they can be so bad at using players to their strength

Oh I get that they are struggling.

But with the magical way Bruins make even mediocre Habs teams look like SC winners, I stand by my 50/50 call.

normally I'd be looking forward to that game, and I kinda still am since it's been a while since we've gotten a good ol' BOS-MTL matchup, but I'm just hoping the habs show up and give a decent effort, enough to not get humiliated lol
