We only need Petey play like he can. I’ve harped on the special teams since preseason being what holds us back.
- Nighthawk

We need a RHC . Petey does not take faceoffs. Miller probably wont be around long so we need a top center.

Petey is a top C. Idc if someone else takes FO’s. He has to work on it in practice & the offseason. Sutter once healthy is a RHC. Miller is tbd.

Petey needs to gain strength. Too easily pushed off the puck. Not saying put in 25 lbs a muscle during the summer but gotta start to fill out more and more every year.

He needs to be stronger on his feet. It’s not as simple as get stronger. Players have differing quick/slow muscle mass.

Sutter may not even play this year He is also not a long term solution.

Costmar, Zhukenov, Forsell, Lockhart and Jasek are all right handed centers.

Your reply is so wrong

Canucks need to get a lot better at faceoffs . Possession is top priority.

Petey will be a top center if he learns to take face offs , gets going , stays upright , and gets stronger. Does that really sound like a top center?

Bo is the only center right now that is meeting expectations.

A top 6 RHC would be nice . I thought Lockhart had a good training camp and his release is very quick. Costmar I can see a fourth line C.

Thanks Carol, even with Big Mac missing this is still a good team. Should make the boys feel good when they whip them! 4-2 Canucks, Rathbone with his first.

I didn't say trade him . I said Canucks need a top 6 center. If he doesn't improve in the next year and a half sure then look at a trade. I think move him to the wing .

Costmar doesn't seem to have taken a step forward from last season, which is disappointing.

Lockhart only has points in 3 out of 9 games this season. Doesn't seem to be taking face-offs though so doubt he becomes an NHL centre, even though he's listed as a centre.

I know drafting prospects is tough and hitting on one per draft is okay, 2 players is good, 3 is great but I don't know if JB and his scouts can find what necessary compliment players in the later rounds anymore. A lot of the prospects seems to be the same type of players that aren't getting to the NHL level.

I would like to give my respects to all the veterans that paid the ultimate sacrifice that allow all of us to enjoy our freedoms. And a huge thank you to all in the military past and present, you have my respect also.

Turn him into a Kane Panarin type?

Canucks need special teams that aren’t in the bottom 1/2 of the league.
Stud RHD the biggest priority.
Top 6 RHC are rare & harder to trade for.

Yeah Lockhart played wing the game I seen.

Two years ago Costmar had a very good year but has regressed as you said.

I said he didn't take a step forward

Hoglander had 14 points in 23 games as a 20 year old.

As a 20 year old Costmar has 2 points in 14 games which is only slight up from his 1 points in 22 games last season.

Jasek is 24 will be 25 when next season starts but is playing all situations in Liiga and is a point per game.

He would probably be the closets prospect the Canucks have to a right handed 4lc.

I always go C unless D is top 2 calibre. As for bottom 10 makes no diff to me this early on. Imo they are still trying to hit their stride & sustain it if referencing the standings. Special teams namely the PP will improve but on the PK we don’t have the horses.

Wingers have to stand out & be legit top 3. Explains why they drop. Depending where we draft dictates what BPA is.
