I personally don’t think a coaching change will help much beyond a dead cat bounce. This mix (I know some new guys but the majority and major players) doesn’t seem to mesh.
I also think JB will wait too long to make a move because he knows that once that doesn’t work, only thing left is to blame the team he constructed, lost and then tried to patch-up.

This team showed they can mesh during the bubble... until Green pulled the carpet out from under their feet in the Vegas series that is...
Look at the individual players that put a cape on their back and won us games. Horvat, Miller, Petey, Hughes, Motte, Demko,,,, they all had games where they stepped up big time and things were clicking... they can do it... they have done it. They still need help.... and the help that has been brought in is playing pretty damn good right now... OEL and Garland are good examples... so I think these guys with the right coach and a little more work by who ever the gm is going to be, can be competative.

I think your right. The guys that Benning brought in this summer have exceeded my expectations, with the possible exception of Poolman. They aren’t the problem. The existing core and EP specifically are. And the coaches inability to adjust in game or from game to game.
AV used to drive me crazy for never mixing up his lines, even in those games where nothing was happening. Green can’t stop mixing them. A line has a good period, better split them up.

When a team is in a pattern like the Canucks are it’s not a funk it’s coaching. Imo he doesn’t instil confidence in players at all. His skills are pressers not how to win. He’s at best mediocre & past his due date.
Team needs a fresh start while it’s still early in the season. Bye bye Green. Then the roster will decide what if any changes are needed & the TDL will be opportune doing so. |

Those who have more patience than I now have must be very few.
JB either grows a pair if he has any chance if seeing another draft or he’s gone also.
Hire a Pres & get FA outta the picture.
Fire Weisbrod Green Baumer idc if the interim tag next or new hires. |

One of his line combination problems that drives me crazy is when they spend a couple of practices between games on a new combo... then after a few shifts in the 1st, he breaks it up and goes back to same old or some random Yahtzee lines . So he basically wastes practices on new lines he wont even give a chance to in real game.... no wonder they are confused.

Benning went all in. He doesn’t have much roster flexibility, a coaching change is really all he has left. |

Green plays the bottom 6 player as a top 6 in the preseason then cast him off when he didnt earn his spot. |

Well I get the desire to at least try a coaching change, just not convinced it will do much.
Vegas game should be a good indicator if the team has totally bailed on TG. Losing that way no Mackinnon and following it up with a loss to a short vegas team. That building is famously tough though ... I made mistake of buying lower bowl tix on Canucks attack end and I only saw one period of hockey haha. Nucks lost 6 rip it I think.

Priorities. Besides Flames always finish three points ahead of us. They always want what we have ( including bad seasons )

Sky’s not falling in Cowtown. They’ve been in every game, points in 3 of them.
Anyways, leaving K town, heading south, onto the Baja for a month. I’ll try to check in and see if the excuse list has been added to.
Adios! |
