Others are saying that Ristolainen is playing fine now because he is. It's not a case of others seeing what you're seeing. When you were saying he was good earlier in the season, he was not.
Take a look at Ristolainen's play on the Pavelski goal. He was a real beast.

Oh .. ya .. you mean the one where Lindblom lost his coverage down low and Pavelski was pretty much alone in the slot for an easy tap in? Yes, your right, if Risto was an octopus he could actually cover all 5 Stars on the ice too! Risto was there and he tried to knock down that aerial pass to Pavelski but he missed it. At least Risto was in the right spot!

I think this back to back game excuse is just that, an excuse. The Flyers for the most part had plenty of legs tonight to win this game. Dallas IMO just wanted this game more and executed, while the Flyers for the most part took a lot more shots from the outside and really didn't generate many high danger chances. The Power play IMO is the biggest thing the Flyers need to figure out, you cannot win games in this league with an ineffective PP that actually gives momentum to the other team!

I didn't mind seeing Ellis back, but would have kept him with Provey last night, who I think played his worst game of the season. I would not have inserted Hayes into the lineup last night, IMO he just was not ready. I also didn't like the line of TK-Brass-Laughts, they were ineffective to say the least. Brass and Laughts are basically the same type of player and thus I do not think they should be on the same line. I would have liked AV to keep the Laughts-Bee-TK line together or an entire game and see how they did. I don't know what to do with JVR, IMO he does not fit on this team any longer!

PP is horrible, the lack of a true sniper and secondary scoring is obvious. Hopefully Hayes will help but I dont know how much.
The top line started strong but has been very inconsistent of late, and there really has been no one to pick up the slack. Lindblom continues to struggle and the coach sees that by dropping him to the 4th line. JVR was actually good last year, so far this year that is not the case. I was hoping for 20 goal seasons from both. I was one of the few who wanted them to land Tarasenko, not sure what the Blues wanted but he is playing well for a guy who want's out.

LOL. Here we go again. Let's start with the faceoff and the cross ice pass to Hintz who entered the zone unchecked and uncontested to the net. Whose guy was that? We'll start with that and go from there.

Is it an excuse? Yea it is but it also happens to be true. Other than the obvious PP issues which can help you win a game even when you don't have your legs. The Flyers were a mess defensively. Constant mix ups of unsorted out coverages and puck watching. The best teams can remain competitive and even win games when they're at a schedule disadvantage by sticking to their systems play which actually helps conserve energy.

Hayes at this point if he is medically cleared has to play. It's the only way he is going to get in game shape. Just practicing more is not going to get him more ready. Brassard and Laughton are not at all the same kind of player. JVR actually scored a goal last night. Lindblom had a bad game but he does not belong on the 4th line. Brassard does.

LOL if we did something like that...
Eichel would have the surgery and he would end up with some other rare medical issue that limits him to like 10 games as a Flyer.
Then we trade him in the later years and he goes somewhere else and wins a cup.

I did notice that and at the time was wondering what Risto was doing there, I'll give you that, I think Risto should have engaged there versus moving back to the middle.

let's be fair now, Jvr wiffed on that play, Dallas players knocked that in their own net!

The reality there is that all 4 players on the ice for the Flyers played it poorly and Dallas scored an easy PP goal.

When you go to the net and get the puck to the net, good things can happen. Does the puck go in the net without what JVR did?
