One of his past coaches screwed him up so badly that he needs to punish players that have scored in a game. Virtanen, Gaudette, Goldobin, Baertschi always got the same treatment. Score and you sit. Podkolzin also now.

It's almost like he's Mike Babcock lite. The press bug him about line combos and TOI for players that score and he sits them on purpose like Babcock did with Matthews in game 7

I remember when Baertschi finally got a call up after Green dog housed him to the AHL. Canucks were injured and starving for offense. Baert plays 2 games, gets 2a and a team leading corsi and Green dog houses him again. Not a fan of Baert but you could see even back then, Green so set in his counter productive stubborn ways that you can't do anything to change his mind. Now Green gets a upgraded offense core and he only digs himself a bigger hole.

If Green is still behind the bench for the next game at home, I wonder what the fans in the building will be chanting? It's going to be ugly...

Travis Green was an associate coach to Mike Johnston for 2 seasons before taking over after Johnston was suspended.

Next season he was coach of Utica for 4 years and straight into the NHL.

AV was coach of Q teams for 10 seasons, asst coach in Ottawa 4 years, head coach in for 4 years, head coach of the Moose for 1 season before he got to Van.

Travis has to have the least amount of coaching experience in the NHL among NHL head coaches.
