Based on what? Certainly not his play.
- MBFlyerfan

Ristolainen was arguably worse than York to start the season.

That’s the thing with a young player, they have the ability to improve if coached properly, and a viable system.

The stalwart defense of making excuses for Seeler playing long term over one of these kids makes me chuckle.

No other options. Continue to defend their assessments, the last decade of player development ends this conversation very quickly.

Can someone, anyone out there tell me you have watched Zamula or York this year?

You have been impressed to the point where you think they are ready?

What games?

- Joe Nardone

Have you seen them play? do you have any insight as to why they shouldn't be called up?

The apparent pandering to authority, I understand I’m being kind of rude saying that, is a concept I don’t understand.

Perhaps it’s because of following what Bill preaches?

NHL GM’s, and coaches have proven to be wrong a lot in their assessments. To discount that fact is ignoring reality.

When looking at the Flyers the last decade, it should be very clear that deep rooted processes, and analysis of how things are done is necessary.

Their attendance numbers the last few seasons, including this one show that even long time fans are starting to question the directions the team willingly takes.

I used to trust this team long ago, more so because of Snider. There have zero trust from me now.

I heard the camera angles aren't good enough to make good assessments.

I do read other blogs/websites from time to time but only post here. The layout is the easiest.

A lot of decent Flyer conversations out there once one looks past the Facebook drivel.

Demers is still unsigned. People wanted to trade for him last year.

Also the prosser is still available.

Be perfect to bring back Nate. Never have enough Nate's.

Be more entertaining to see Hagg return.

I’m hoping they can start to drive some more offense, I think this forward group has more to give. Lines 1-3 at least....

IMO, their problem has never been a lack of finishers or even a lack of talent... it's been a lack of shooting opportunities and chance generation. Too much one and done, dumping the puck around aimlessly at both ends, just handing the puck back to the opponents over and over. A team that loses the possession battle has a hard time tapping all the talent they have on hand. Hard to showcase your skills when you're chasing the puck around all the time.

The top line and third line did show they can cycle the puck and generate some offense while the second line was just a black hole. Obviously they have changed up the lines. Hayes , although not 100%, is someone who carries the puck and can hopefully help in the dump dump dump issue

I’m not going to fellow a argument directly dictated by questions. Control the direction and you control the outcome.

We can disagree, and that is more than fine.

Nobody forced the team to not play York to start the season, or rush out to sign a 3rd pairing defenseman that is clearly cooked, yet a staple in the lineup.

The team is struggling, and it would warrant some creativity to try, and insert one of York/Zamula.

To have such fear in doing so is strange to me. What is the worst that will happen, they will lose a few games? Contenders they are not as presently constructed so that is irrelevant. York or Zamula indeed show they need some more seasoning? The Flyers have shown to be very willing to demote a player so that should not be a worry.

One can continue to trust their assessments, it’s produced success after all? If Hart falters even a little, this house of cards will look even more similar to last season. Perhaps they will call someone up then.

- FlyerFan3260

No, the worst that can happen is that they do damage to a young player by putting him in a situation that they aren't ready for.
The Flyers in the past have shown that they're more than willing to put young players in the lineup. Although that was more under a different regime.

You're entire argument is based on that they may be wrong about some players and their readiness. Not based in any way on their actual readiness.

So we WERE using NAK wrong the whole time! He is a top line PP1 player afterall!

More blatant malfeasance from this organization allowing a top line PP1 player to leave for nothing.
