Yeah he's just a Vezina winner, 3 time stanley cup champion, 5 time stanley cup finalist, 4 time NHL all-star, and a sure bet Hall of Famer.
Edit: Forgot, he's 3rd all time in wins by a goalie in NHL history behind Brodeur and Roy. - j.boyd919
Technically a Olympic gold medalist too I’m pretty sure. |

He's definitely an elite goal scoring talent. Not even a question. You don't have to drive a line by yourself to be an elite scorer. You'd be hard pressed to find wingers that drive their lines play given the responsibilities of a center are always greater.
All of the elite scoring wingers have great setup guys.
Kucherov has Point
Pasta and Marchy have Bergeron
Ehlers has Scheifele
Ovi has Backstrom and Kuzy
Don't think Kuch or Ovi would be as successful with Erod or Jeff Carter as their center.
I'd probably say Mark Stone and Artemi Panarin are the only wingers that are the driving forces on their lines. Other than that I'd say most of the elite wingers are elite because they are complimentary to their centers.
As for the Kunitz vs. Jake argument. I would prefer to have both on Sid's line. A "Jake" to finish and a "Kunitz" to dig pucks. I think that's what his line is missing right now. - j.boyd919
I haven't watched the Blackhawks in ages, but back when I was in college surrounded by Hawks fans and they were always on, Patrick Kane definitely qualified as a winger that drove his line. |

Roberto Luongo blocked me on twitter during that Olympics. C'mon Bobby Lu, that tweet telling you to (frank) off in all caps was in the heat of the drunken moment after you knocked off USA. Unblock me you French Canadian wiener! |

I can agree with that but I still think it's really rare. |

Depends on his longevity. If he plays long enough to pass Brodeur, he's probably first ballot. Doubt he makes it though. That's a lot of hockey. |

If he goes up against the likes of Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin, Kane, Kopitar, Bergeron, and Toews (and maybe Chara, the dude just keeps) playing, he won't get in ahead of them. |

The only fact is that we have no idea what Boyle's scoring ability is as a whole just yet. Simon has one goal in 9 games and Boyle has two goals in 14 games. - Rinosaur
Statistically speaking 2 in 14 is better than 1 in 9. But I’m basing my opinion of how it’s best to get secondary scoring off of career statistics and a much larger sample size. One guy has 130 some nhl goals, the other guy can’t get a full time nhl job unless Mike Sullivan is the coach. |

Don't disagree, but captaining 3 Cup Teams along with a Selke, Conn Smythe, and being a member of the Triple Gold Club...yeah, he's in easy. |

I think that they need more talented finishers. They have too many bottom 6 guys imo. Don't even think the dynamic has to change, or even the system/coach. They need guys who can bury the puck. - j.boyd919
We have no prospects, no extra picks, and no cap room to trade or acquire talent. Sounds like an easy fix! |

I definitely don't think they're going to fix it lol. I've been saying we're in the twilight of this era for a few years now. |

Talking about guys who can finish, we do have one guy we haven't tried yet. He's a 12% shooter, cycles well, digs pucks out of the corner and is defensively responsible.
The only problem is he's a 4C and everyone knows you can't win unless you have a 12% shooter in that role. |

You separated Malkin and Zucker. That's a foul. Four more and you're not allowed to play anymore.

While Geno is out I wouldnt mind just slotting Zucker in where Geno is in this....oh, and probably swap Simon for Boyle...but not totally against Boyle being there
