#Isles Injury Update: Ryan Pulock is out 4-6 weeks with a lower body injury.

Islanders end up missing the playoffs and a bottom 10 team and win the lottery to have Wright in a brand new building...

Sabres had their chance at Monahan. I wouldn’t even answer their call after that last lengthy negotiation.
- Razzdazzle1

glad you're not the GM of the Flames - taking things THAT personal is prob not a wise move for such a position. if the Flames want to trade him for assets, they will take every call that comes through.

Monahan is Calgary's Dustin Brown. Darryl Sutter comes in and will absolutely ruin an otherwise quality player. Either trade him now and hope to get the best return that you can, or stick it out until after Sutter gets fired and let him return to form then.

Last 3 years ppg:

Monahan: .6176
Dahlin: .5461

So I guess we'll pound sand

That comment is related to the way they handled the Eichel trade.

Tell me what the plan is for Buffalo.
Tuch and Krebs?
Wait for Cozens or Tage to turn into a #1C?
Wait for the another top 3 pick?
Power as top D and Dahlin as 2nd top D?

BTW, Monahan is only 2nd to MacKinnon in the 2013 draft for goals.
MacKinnon - 206
Monahan -203
Barkov - 190

I don't know if it's related to Sutter or not.
Guy had major hip surgery in the off-season.
Was broken down from game 5 last season onwards.
Admitted that his hip would lock up for about 30 seconds after taking a faceoff.

TBH, his successes were always tied to Gaudreau. You don't get the slick passes to the slot, you don't score as many. You can still see some lack of strength in his core, when he is trying to apply torque.

What have you done for me lately, specifically the last 3 years. Monahan is barely worth his contract, if at all. Suggesting that Buffalo should offer Dahlin or pound sand is incredibly ridiculous, regardless of how the two GMs phone calls went for Eichel. And what does the Sabres plans have anything to do with acquiring a guy who relies on extensive offensive zone starts because he's not good defensively and that's putting it lightly, that doesn't produce points. Okposo the last 3 years has put up around a .4 ppg clip getting 65% d zone starts and excelling defensively. Monahan is scoring around a .6 ppg clip (which is inflated by 3 years ago as well since I'm using a 3 year size and the last year and the start of this year haven't been kind) while getting 65% o zone starts.

I guess my point is that if Monahan is worth Dahlin, guess we can fax over Okposo for Coronato right?

Nashville - would have to be Forsberg coming back.
NJ - okay, so Zacha + Ty Smith.
NYI - no real fit there.
Buffalo - unless it's Dahlin coming back, pound sand. We can deal Valimaki elsewhere.

Dude you’re high. Monahan as he is playing today is not a 1C and is not worth any of the deals you mentioned. He has like you said had multiple injuries and surgeries. He seems to be slowly improving this year but until he shows he is back to where he once was he’s damaged goods.

Get ready to pay a steep price for Gallagher. Pittsburgh is after him. Especially since Malkin is heading to the Caps. Maybe Shania Moanifon ends up in Pittsburgh to fill the Malkin gap?

Devils have Hughes, Hischier, Mercer, and McLeod with Boqvist as a reserve. There is zero need for Monahan.

What kind of crack are you smoking thinking you'd get Zacha AND Ty Smith for a player with 1 year left and who your team obviously isn't high on.

The Flames roll 4 lines every night so that is big part of why Monys minutes are down so much. He is still plus 50% on faceoffs, plays on the #1 PP unit and is a big upgrade as a 2C on most of the teams mentioned in this rumor. Christian Dvorak is a good comp and IMO if the Flames get a 1st and cap space he will get moved.

Monahan to the Isles simply doesn’t make sense. You have a logjam at center with Barzal, Nelson, Pageau, and Cizikas as your #1-4 centers.

TARASENKO, on the other hand, makes much more sense for the Isles, although I can only imagine that St. Louis would ask a king’s ransom in return, and Lou’s cupboards are relatively bare.

Monahan on the sabres makes sense. We could use the contract to help us next year get to cap floor.

Between tage, Krebs, mittlestat, cozens and monahan we should be able to find 2 scoring centers and a defensive center.

As always it would depend on what the asking price is.

Why I would advocate against anything right now, is bcz we have yet to see Buffalo ice a semi complete roster. The injury bug hit buffalo early and hard. I’m hoping that their management staff knows what they have bcz us the fans don’t.

He’s an overpaid 2nd line center who’s understandably lost the trust of his coaching staff, with declining offensive skills. Late first round pick or 2nd and B level prospect seems about right.
