Monahan to the Isles simply doesn’t make sense. You have a logjam at center with Barzal, Nelson, Pageau, and Cizikas as your #1-4 centers.
TARASENKO, on the other hand, makes much more sense for the Isles, although I can only imagine that St. Louis would ask a king’s ransom in return, and Lou’s cupboards are relatively bare.

Brannstrom gets it done. If Calgary needs more take some 2nd's.

I would welcome Monahan to Buffalo especially if he maintains an open mind with the idea he can rebuild his career and grow with this young team. He may love it, and he would probably be the #1 or at least #2 center for the next two years minimum.
From Buffalo's perspective, if he can return to his previous form, you have a guy who can score like Eichel and you may be able to land him for two 2nd round picks.... Not a bad gamble.
