I think he’s gonna fight “it” all year…basically a right off year for him from missing 90% of camp.

Wtf is this?

Also, Pouty is a selfish whining entitled player. Rather they try get a centre for him.

He’s really young, he’ll get better and he’ll mature.

You sure are a becoming a big Hughes and Pouty cum-guzzler. You complain about wanting a cup and you think these 2 are the guys to build around, I am sad for you.

Soon as we’re 10pts or more outta the wild card I’d full out tank. Too many teams ahead of us that are better.

It is going to take a while for Petey and Boeser to find their game so why not go all in right away to get Shane Wright?

Is there a "Tired of Losing Bear"? That might be more accurate.

That’s all fine for NHL coaches. Is there one out there for AHL coaches?
- Nighthawk

The math suggests that it does not matter who the coach is. To the extent a coach from a poor team is removed, regardless of who the replacement coach is, there is little evidence to suggest that the team's success will increase in any meaningful manner. So I would suspect that a combination of players, coaches and management would need to be removed prior to a significant change in the team's success rate. Whomever will make the call to change the GM, and will hire the replacement GM, is going to directly impact the future success of the team, as that GM will have to replace players and coaches.

We will be starting from zero again, or in the case of the Canucks, likely the 5th spot in the NHL entry draft.

I was annoyed that being in Germany would mean being 9 hours ahead of Canucks home games and 6 hours from East Coast games... but man I'm glad I haven't been able to watch a game of this season so far

Changing a coach often sparks a team briefly. If the coach is any good they can sustain some of that momentum and gain confidence and positive experience. It also helps differentiate between player ability and deployment.

This team is much further ahead than it was 5 years ago, they're just nowhere near enough ahead.

1. John Tortorella
2. Mike Keenan
3. Mike Babcock

These players need fear not mixing lines.
Core 5. Gone.
Hughes, Petey, Horvat, Miller, Boeser. WTF have you done for us lately.
Management, pack your poop.
I'd rather see Abby playing at min wage and losing than this.

And after try and get Corey Perry, Getzlaf to lead for a bit, there's no leadership on this team, I'll skate for an hour, ho hum, still get paid. You'll still get paid in Buffalo, not Van is it ?

The kids are learning in a toxic environment.

Johan Fransen called Mike Babcock the worst person he'd ever met. He also calls him the most prepared and detail oriented coach he's ever had, great systems.

I think he did far worse things in Detroit than TO where he was more under the microscope. There's also a chance he'd still be coaching if Lou was still GM in Toronto although it certainly would have required more success.

Regardless, people deserve a 2nd chance and putting up a list by one of your cocky young players doesn't mean that much to me. Wasn't that a question about defensive effort? That's the kind of poop that should stay in the dressing room. New management fired the coach and brought their guy in.

I'd give him a 2 year mandate (this and next) to make the playoffs and win a round.
