I looked at about 20 NHL coaches the other day.

Brind Amour is the only coach in the NHL that I found that had as little experience as Green did. 7 years but at least his was an asst in the NHL.

AV had 19 years before he came to Van.

Colorado coach had Bednar 14 years of coaching before he became coach of Colorado.
