Lol that would be dumb. Keep the kids down in roch. You don’t need them right now

Let them win in roch and have fun

- Sabretooth9

Why would that be dumb? By analogy, one of the smart things baseball managers do nowadays is bring their best relief pitcher in when it's needed and not just the 9th inning. This week - one week, not all season - is a ten point week. The season could effectively be buried after these 5 games. We need a backup goalie for Wednesday against Boston. You want Aaron Dell? Our power play has died with VO out the last 8 games. You think Quinn wouldn't help for a week? Krebs was already in the NHL for Vegas. You think he can't handle a week for the Sabres?

Don't quit on the season in November.

Actually isn’t he technically on loan to Rochester? Instead of being completely sent down.

He actually might have to come up soon

- Sabretooth9

conditioning stint is 2 weeks max, he played 6 games in 15 days so he was not sent down for conditioning

AHL to NHL is big jump. Krebs in 9 games did nothing for Vegas. What makes you think these guys will make a difference against Boston of all teams?

The only 2 players to bring up are Samuelsson and or UPL. Even then i'd rather keep the Roch team tg as 1 like Tampa use to do with Syracuse. Builds chem, hopefully win the chip down there. Bring em up next year.

We aren't making anything with the goalies we have. Doesn't matter who we have to score goals.

You can't tell me Quinn doesn't step right in and make the PP better until VO is healthy. Krebs can be effective as our 3rd line C for a week. He didn't have points with Vegas. I don't know that he didn't create. I do know for sure our season can be buried or very much alive after this one week. I'd like to press my chips in now while my pile isn't a joke and not in March when I'm buried by 25 points.

We aren't going anywhere until we have a real goaltender.

Anderson is great except he won't play more than 30, if that.

Tokarski on goal 1 last night backed to far into his net. For not being a big goalie he can't back so far in on a sniper especially when he's got a dman on Gaudreau's back.

On goal 2 He was sliding around when he didn't need to be.

On Matty's goal he was backed to far into his net again.

I don't blame him on any of these since we didn't give him much help. Just what I see that separates him from a real NHL starter.

The team we have needs a solid brick wall in net. Tokarski won't be that guy. Dell won't be that guy. UPL won't be that guy (this year atleast)

I haven't watched much of the Amerks but from what some posters here have said he's not been great on the defensive side of the puck.

What's your take on him?

There's no difference here. Everyone on an NHL contract in Roch is loaned there.

He's also waiver exempt, nothing to see here.

RD

25 points in 40 ahl games

worth a look

then again Fitzgerald has also improved but he may be too small for the NHL

Samuelsson is ready.

Probably should have made the team out of camp IMO.

Donnie played him big minutes at the end of last year.

Although I also agree with keeping the kids away from this mess. A guy like samuelsson could add a winning boost...

- Boss34

Tough to make the team when you miss all of camp and aren't healthy to start the season. Half a season in Roch is probably best for him, long term. He'll get his shot.

Players would be so much better if they played in AHl first. NHL is only league that does that. Even NBA moved away from that but we force young potential studs into horrible situations. Look what it did to Jack and now Rasmus
- Fattony1187

Good points.

The ahl is a tough league physically, probably learn a more complete game.

Samuelsson is also going to turn 22 years old in march.
He's not exactly 18 like the other 2 breaking into the nhl☝️

Matter of fact, he's a month older than dahlin.

It's time for him IMO.

*Keep some of the other kids in Rochester sure
I'd like to see upl soon

I think he would have made the team if it was a fair tryout. I like hagg and prysk..

He's not a kid, semi high pick. Good nhl Genes.

His nhl Size / and dahlin has struggled with almost everyone else. Its close IMO

The current season isn’t about this year or the standings. It’s about development.

Keep Jj. Quinn and Krebs in Rochester and give them a ton of minutes and let them become pros

You can't call the tryout unfair. He was injured the entire time.

This is basically his training camp. He'll get his opportunity.

Just in time for Miller to get hurt. Maybe we'll have a healthy lineup come February.

Team 33, an independent player analysis company, says Buffalo’s Peyton Krebs and Jack Quinn are comparable prospects. The Sabres acquired Krebs from Vegas in the Jack Eichel deal. The Team 33 value for Krebs is 484 and Quinn is at 472 on their scale. Krebs’ skating and hockey sense, the highest valued categories, are rated slightly higher than Quinn’s.
