Jeff Gorton has a pretty damn bad drafting record during his tenure as Rangers GM.

I doubt Julien is taking another job that isn't Head coach.

- manvanfan

They're still in the top 10 for prospect rankings and he only had 5 drafts, the first one without picks in the top 2 rounds.

Is Pettersson still considered a good pick?

Julien had heart troubles in 2020 playoffs where he had surgery but it wasn't a heart attack. Removed a blockage or something.

We need Patrick Roy. That will sell tickets too....

It's a hockey chat room where people discuss different ideas.
Like some people suggest trades that are not going to happen, it's just for kicks.

Try not to take it too serious.

If I suggested that we should trade Kyle Burroughs for Matt Barzall would you think heh, that’s a great plan?

Hiring Jeff Gorton is one thing, suggesting that the owner will go over the GM to hire an assistant for the GM to light a fire is moronic.

But go ahead and fill your boots.

No, I’m saying people suggesting that Aquilini should hire Gorton to be an AGM are morons, because that’s not how things work.

How are we supposed to hold the team accountable for their poor play if we don't even hold our HB posters accountable?!

“Marky had 5 shutouts in 3 years under Travis Green and they were mostly 40+ save masterpieces.

He has 5 in 13 games under Daryl Sutter(with Tanev and Guddy on blueline) this year.
3 of them have been 20,22 and 27 shots only.

Same Marky.

Coaching and systems matter.”

Vancouver was in the top 10 for a long time too. How has that gone for Van?

No, Hughes sucks. Just kidding, but seriously, those two aren't a good pairing. Poolman needs a better overall defender.

Thanks Carol

So JB says lets all go down with the ship. A MUST win.

A good coach can quash a locker-room issue. So can a strong leader.....I believe Bo can be that... (we've seen it) But in the moment, he looks more like someone punching a clock...

I believe in Petey...He is elite, but anyone with eyes can see that something is off.. his passing (which I though was strong for the previous years) has sucked. He has passed it to the opposing team how many times this season? (not a excuse if its true) Seriously, hasn't he looked off this year so far?

Brock will be fine when people can get pucks to him to shoot.

Hughes...elite offence defenseman. Needs a defensive counterbalance that he can trust, if we want to see his best hockey. Imagine if he knew the back end is covered (intelligently)...

Not even touching on the up and comers..

ANY coach has some solid useable peaces..Either the Coach has to lead, or Bo does...

Something doesn't add up..

I don't care if they use " Steiner " math to solve it..

Pretty much everyone but Van media has known this for multiple years now.

Green has them all going different directions at all time. It's gone long enough, that his coaching is actually ruining the teams best players. He has coached hockey out of the players.

Isn’t that Poolman’s role so Quinn Hughes can jump in offensively when he wants too? In other words, Poolman sucks defensively.

No. If that was the case then Hughes should just be a forward.

Hughes has brought down Tanev in the past and now Poolman. Tanev had the best WAR in the league last season. What do you think that says

and now Tanev is bringing up Oliver Kylington.

Tanev and Hughes were a decent pairing. While Tanev's WAR may have been affected negatively by playing with Hughes, the overall pairing was a benefit to the team.

That's the point: provide the kid with a defensively responsible partner so he can provide the offensive production.

How about that salad bowl Rick Vaive is sporting in the Flying V. Another goal scorer the Canucks were impatient with who went on to score 400+ in his career.
