What did I miss? Only saw the first period and all I really needed to see was the team's PPs. The Flyers PP looked like a trainwreck gone wrong and the Brooooooins were passing the puck like the Harlem Globe Trotters!! This team sucks!! Every effing team they play against is better than they are. I'm guessing Jones wasn't the problem, but why would AV not start Hart. HE IS YOUR #1 GOALIE!! AV and his buddy Therrien need to go!! JVR is the biggest waste of 7 million a year on the planet! Farabee......6 points in his first 3 games. He now has one point in his last 13 games. The Flyers have no young players worth a shyte!! Nice drafting losers!!!

An uninspiring loss -- but fear not -- it is not a two-game losing streak cause they got a point on Thursday!!

woo-hoo getting points every other game stops losing streaks and makes us playoff contenders!!!

You are looking at it wrong

They have not lost 9 times

Overtime/Shootout LOSSES are not losses -- that is how the game is played

and if you believe that I have a Ryan Ellis is not injury prone narrative to sell you

Can someone explain to me why we need to fire the head coach, the PK sucks fire the PK coach, the PP sucks fire the PP coach, leadership needs a change shake up the core yet it seems the majority of people don’t want to say the captain of this franchise which has basically been irrelevant during his tenure isn’t the problem

Responsible for 2 goals against tonight. The pp doesn’t whip rhe puck around like the Bruins because when G gets the puck he does 15 head fake shimmies before moving the puck

You are welcome to post non factual data if you wish to support your agenda, but that does not make it true.

There are wins which yes includes OT and shootout wins. Losses which only includes reg losses and OTLs which consists of overtime and shootout losses. Obviously tie breakers are impacting by these stats, but thats how the NHL has decided to count points and arrive at their standings. Every team plays under these rules and there is nothing you can do about it.

They are currently a playoff team and have games in hand on the majority of the teams ahead of them. That’s an actual fact. My opinion prob like yours is they have been inconsistent and have some gaping holes with the injuries to the 3 players, but that does not change the fact that they are currently in the playoffs and might even climb a spot or two. Sorry to urinate in your Cheerios, but that is reality.

Good morning.

You're right on that. Previous times on goals scored you have criticized both Braun and Sanheim for drifting high like Ristolainen did on that play. How come not on this play? To be clear, in my opinion, Ristolainen had no fault on that play.
- MJL

I noticed that, but I didn't have a problem with it because it was 4 on 4, so to me you play more man to man in that situation where there is more open ice.

You mean "over-your-head", see everyone, the office clown just can't understand and keep up, so this is what he resorts to. Come to think of it, I don't think you have ever once actually contributed to a conversation on this forum, hmmm, why is that? Oh, that's right, your an Office Clown, and therefore you have no ability to do that, just try to make everyone laugh instead. I see, well, you're not very good at that either clown!

Of course you don't. Of course you also don't realize that 5 on 5 is also man to man. If that was Braun, Sanheim or Seeler, you would've been incorrectly blaming them. No doubt. For leaving their "defensive coverage area".

Clearly some don't understand that there is no criticism of Ristolainen there.

You don't think Ristolainen is one of the best defenseman in the NHL?

- MJL

Note: the adults are talking now class clown, so please don't even try to keep up, it will just give you a popsicle headache!

Come on MJL, Really? From the beginning you have hated this trade, not just what was given up but the entire philosophy it represented. You have posted time and time again that Risto is one the worst Dmen based on advanced metrics in the league. You have posted countless times how bad he has played, blaming him for goals, etc. etc. Anyone, not just me, that tries to post something positive about Risto you immediately shoot down. Heck at one point when even you had to admit Risto was playing better, you referred to it as the 2nd unit, you could not even get yourself to mention Risto my name. You are completely biased and have no credibility in this regard IMO.

In my opinion he's played 5 good games out of 14 played. He doesn't elevate the team. I need more consistency. The issue is they don't really have a replacement for him but I'd rather have a hole in the lineup than to overpay on a bad contract.
- MJL

I want you to think hard about this question: Does Sanheim elevate this team at $4.675 per? Does Provorov elevate this team at $6.75 per? What player on this roster currently elevates this team in your opinion? If you answer anyone other than Carter Hart your nutz! IMO, Risto elevates this team far more than any other defenseman they have, including Ryan Ellis right now because he unfortunately can't get on the ice. Risto elevates this team is a number of key ways: 1. Risto adds a strong physical presence this team has been lacking for several seasons, 2. Risto separates players from the puck better than most defenseman in the league and wins a majority of his puck battles below the goal line, 3. Risto is really solid defensively in his coverage and rarely turns the puck over, and 4. Risto can skate and you are seeing recently how he can impact the offense with his aggressiveness. IMO, its really no contest, Risto is the best defenseman on this team right now!

You are incorrect on many levels, as usual. I have never posted that Ristolainen is one of the worst defenseman in the league. Not once.
You're incorrect that I immediately shoot down anything positive said about Ristolainen. In fact I've given him credit for playing well for the 5 games where he did play well. He played well last night and in fact I think he was the Flyers best defenseman last night. It's mostly by default since the Provorov/Braun pairing was not good. Sanheim made a fundamental skating error leading to a goal and the Yandle?Seeler pairing is what it is.

Someone such as yourself that has had a complete fantasy viewpoint on the player. Such as constantly using the word great. Stating that other players, including Tom Wilson are afraid of him and are intimidated him. Even stating that Ristolainen is one of the best defenseman in the league while simultaneously saying that I was elevating Victor Hedman too high. Has no standing to tell anyone they are biased and lack credibility. My opinion of Ristolainen is based on the facts. Your opinion of him is the equivalent of drooling over a Farrah Faucett picture hanging on your wall.

Spot on! If you think about it, all the league really did was change replace calling it a tie and instead call it now an OT loss, there is no impact to the losing team. That and awarding an extra point to the winning team.

In the end, the league has got to get rid of the shootout, its a skills competition that belongs in the all star weekend; it has nothing to do with the team! Just make the 3 on 3 OT 10 minutes long and bring back ties. Clearly if you extend the OT to 10 minutes, there will be very few ties in this league.
