This cap space that Saint Ronnie allegedly created is a falsehood when you look at the RFA that needs to be signed.

not exactly. the cap space to end the 17-18 season is different than the start of the 18-19 season.


also hextall was released in Dec of 18. so that year that ended with us having the open space...was a mix of him and Fletch.

fletch traded wayne to open up the space. hex had to bury Macdonald to be cap compliant didn't he.

The year he signed jvr the reason there was cap space at the end of the year was due to trades and waiving players like Jori. the rest of what you provided is opinion. Doesn't matter what the speculation was. he signed JVR...an aging player to a multi year contract. wasting a lot of the cap space he created. the needle was not moving.
