Just saying, what if he and Bo are the ones having the power struggle, and it’s Horvat’s faction that ends up getting voted off the Island? You don’t see a parallel there?

Remember when Trevor Linden got Red Wedding’d? Funny coincidence, there were 8 seasons of Game of Thrones, the 8th was the worst, then it was over.

This is Benning’s 8th year and his worst, is it nearly over? #canucks

IMO, this is the tipping point for this incarnation of the team. Either fire the coach and try to salvage this season and make the playoffs. Or blow it up and get as many picks as possible for the upcoming drafts. Brock isnt worth his 7.5 QO at the end of this season and the depth of the current team can not sustain the loss of both Bo and Miller at the end of next season. No way they will resign with this shatshow.

Yes best case for right now. Tanking at the 20 game mark is stupid. Many clubs can turn the season around with some changes and some good fortune. CGY similar situation last year. Dissention in the room and mngt Sutter comes in. Took awhile but they have bought into his philosophy and systems and are seeing results. Not a huge Sutter fan but results are results. Blackhawks are 5-1 since the coaching change. Start with the Coach and see if he can get that room in order and get the players to buy in. If not then it's GM and Personel/player changes to follow. Basic Stuff.

I agree with trying with a new coach first, but the team is standing on the edge of the perverbial cliff if it doesnt work out. And they need to face that with a new regime if they thats the case.

Weren't you the guy, 4+ seasons ago, when WD got fired, that said Benning has the 1 coaching change, before he is done.

definitely not me. the red wedding killed many people so how does that scenario fit linden's firing? weak. the season 8 reference was definitely on point.

Squid Game Coin Arena is more apt. The sponsor and the team promise and deliver about the same return for fans.

I think there is a long held belief that we are the true influencers, and the media pluck topics from our threads for mass consumption. I mean, if you owned the Canucks, wouldn’t you at least have people who monitored the most used chat sites for your team? Same goes for media members.

Ok, I’ll bite and go all Nighthawk on this. If it’s your team, who are you going to hire to replace Green, an interim coach? Promote Shaw or whatshisnuts from Abbotsford? Now you have ANOTHER first time NHL head coach, with no job security. Maybe you get a bump like the Blackhawks, but you must have seen how terrible they still are?

So, you want to bring in a big gun? Those guys will get $ and term. Again, maybe you get a bump, maybe you even get white hot and make the playoffs. Is Benning now a genius again, lock him up 5 more years?

There’s no good way to change the coach without changing the GM IMO.

Brock Boeser agent Ben Hankinson : I do not believe Brock will be traded but he knows it could happen. It is apart of the business. Brock does have faith in the Canucks team and his teammates to get through this.

J.T Miller agent Brian Bartlett - We have not had any conversations with the Canucks about anything involving trades. J.T is focused on righting the ship there.
