I'm not saying I agree w it. I've agreed from day one that their goaltending would let them down this year. I just can't see them giving up assets "mid-season" for one.

I do hope I'm wrong and that Adams sees the potential for a decent, fun year and if he can get one without overpaying, I'm all for it.

Their desire to 'contend this year' is low. They absolutely want to win games, and making the playoffs would be a welcome surprise. But they are certainly not built to win and in this scenario, that's ok.

You are right. I'd just like to start winning some games we deserve to win instead of losing cause our goalies can't make routine saves.

Florida and Arizona lose money for the league. Haven't made a dollar in 15 years at least. Arizona has never made money.

Now's the time to move Florida to Quebec instantly make their faces off in that market. Arizona gets Wright this year and Matthews in a few more and they probably start drawing people down there.

The idea that this goalie tandem was intentional for tanking, considering they chose to keep Ullmark at the deadline to try and sign him is just incorrect

That one's a mystery to me. He could have been had on waivers first of all. And then Carolina was actively shopping him cheap. There's no reason he couldn't stay for the long haul or get flipped in a log jam. Even if you want to look at it through the angle of wanting a veteran guy, you're once again here banking on the success of UPL in the preseason. They could have EASILY traded for Ned, signed Andy, kept UPL and Tok in Rock and let Aaron Dell back up the (frank)ing Utica Comets.
